I booked it directly with the hotel & there was some confusion regarding the prices quoted earlier & then it was revised but overall it was sorted. They upgraded my room for the same price It's a quaint resort & located just by the lake as the name says. It is a beautiful property with amazing lake view restaurant. The service & staff are very good & always helpful. If you are expecting a 5 star kind of treatment then sorry this ain't the place you should stay. As already said it's like a heritage resort with rooms having Kerala style decor & a old quaint look to It. Since it's located lake side so there are some insects around but tbh it wasn't much of an issue as the beauty of this place compensates for everything. The food tastes real good. The chef himself takes care of guests & gives personal attention. Overall a good stay.

The property is beautiful. It's located on the lovely punnammada backwaters. The furnishing is done in a way that it gives it a vintage look. The food is decent and the staff is polite. If you want to laze around band have a relaxed holiday, it's the perfect place to be in.

The resort will do everything to make you miserable on your holiday. They are clearly under staffed. Apparently since they are fully booked the kitchen is not equipped to provide food. So if you are with a child who is hungry, God save you. Everything is mediocre starting from the check in service. Your bags won’t be sent to the room unless you have asked for a dozen times. The premises doesn’t allow one to spend quality time as it’s a plain lawn with no facilities. The water in the taps and in the pool is foul tasting and smelly, it’s as it untreated water from the lake is pumped for regular use. All this for a premium pricing. So spare yourself the trouble and find a better place. I had to give one star to enable writing the review.

The common amenities and spaces were good with many scenic spots, but the room left a lot to be desired. We wanted a local experience that's why we chose this (unfortunately). We stayed in room 707, and tons of things were off: 1. The bathroom sink was cracked and the bathroom in general was quite unclean. There was rust on numerous places. 2. While it might have been nice when originally built, it has been quite badly maintained in that case. There were spots and marks all over the room, many things were simply broken or not working, it also just felt unclean. The room overall looked like it was plucked out of a 2/3-star (from the TV to the bed to the fridge and the walls and the cupboard) rather than a so-called 5-star resort. The restaurant's food was nice, good north Indian food (ask them to make it extra spicy), and otherwise okay as well. There are tons of games and acitivities, but again most are not very well maintained. It's priced and calls itself a 5-star but doesn't deliver. Honestly, go to the Ramada - it's cheaper, has better rooms, is right on the lake as well, and is overall in a better location anyway.

Our family friends visited from the UK and its their first time in South India...Kerala was the first South Indian State that was recommended to them to visit...a visit to Kerala is never complete without experiencing the backwaters, the lakes and of course the boat house experience ..I am so happy that the Punnamada Resort was the place we choose for them...Anu and Team were amazing and the hospitality was out of this world to make their stay enjoyable and comfortable.. They really didn't want to go back..our heart-felt thanks from the whole family to the entire Team ..until next time...and can't wait to be back...God bless you all!! 🤗🙏❤️

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in. Please be aware that fulfilling these requests may result in additional charges.

The hotel reserves the right of admission. The hotel may refuse to honour the booking if it determines that the property policies have been violated.

If the booking cannot be confirmed due to certain circumstances, Adani One will refund the entire amount to the original mode of payment.

If the hotel is unable to confirm or deny the booking, Adani One is not under any obligation to provide an alternate booking in lieu of the unconfirmed booking.

Adani One does not collect GSTIN details on behalf of the hotelier, you may request this information directly from the hotelier during the check-in process.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
