The villa is beautiful and good for staycation. Would not recommend in the slightest if you plan to visit the nearby beaches or to go anywhere in the vicinity. The approach road is pathetic and it becomes almost impossible to reach there with car. The way there is sure to damage your car in some way and Saffron stays honestly have no clue about how the approach road is and rely totally on the care taker. The villa is beautiful and serene if you do not want to step out and live a quarantined life with no access to outside surroundings. We had a disappointing experience because we wanted to visit alibagh and other places which we could not at all. Saffron stays does not take much interest in customer service which is highly disappointing on their end.

Let me be frank to start with. The property doesn’t look as great as you see in the pics on website. We visited during monsoon so maybe the maintenance was not as well and thus some difference is understandable. Also there was a bit of smell of damp walls, again monsoon maybe a factor. It rained pretty heavy for a few hours while we were there for 2 days. Secondly while the location is great amidst jungle, on the footstep of hills and greenery all around; the road to reach there is pretty bad (only the last 2 kms). So just an advise for others who are visiting, if possible get taller cars and SUVs and avoid cars with lower ground clearance. Well this again could be damage due to monsoon and bit of cyclone that Alibag saw earlier this year. Also there is no shop around the place, so small piece of advise – buy and carry all what you need before reaching the place, otherwise driving back to shops, market will take half hour each side and the road is not worth it. The location is well worth the buzz away from market place. Its all green around, you can hear sounds of waterfall as well in the villa and also continuous chirping of birds, frogs and insects. The place is well equipped with large screen, speaker for music lovers, wifi which works well. Also to accommodate extra guests it has mattresses, pillows, etc. The living area is large to seat 12-15 people. Now let me come to the best part of the property – Food and staff. If you relish vegetarian food, you will definitely like the place. Every meal was worth it and we were all pleasantly surprised. Right from breakfast (aloo paratha, missal pav, poha, chhole bhature), meals (veggies, dal bati choorma, gate ki bhaji, pulao, kadhi, whaever you ask for); desserts (gulab jamun, gond ka laddoo) turned out to be very tasty and we always overate. And not to forget the evening snacks – samosas, mutter kachori and free flow of tea, coffee whenever you feel like. We also tried barbecue (we carried our own) and the staff helped to marinate the veggies, paneers which was too good. Full marks to the staff, special mention to Mahendra who made sure our trip was all about pampering our taste buds. So if you are a foodie and can survive without meat, this place wont disappoint at all.
