Not a Taj experience at all. Room was small, though very clean and comfortable. Bed was excellent. Breakfast was small, and 95 percent same on both the days. None of the staffs smile at you, a very robotic experience which is unlike of Taj. One goes to Taj not for just a clean room, but for the hospitality. That's missing here. Location is near the airport and right next to City Centre 2, but that's all. Not very convenient if you have to go to the city for work. Overall, there are better or equally good options available in the city.

My experience with Taj New town has been far from exemplary. I booked a suite but the rooms were small and not up to standard in comparison to ITC one rooms (though they don't call them suite). The person in the reception who calls himself the supervisor named Suyash is hardly welcoming and is more interested to say 'no' to customer requests. Nevertheless it's at best an okay experience.

This hotel, erstwhile Swissotel, was taken over by Taj sometimes back. The service is simply the best in business. Nothing can be compared to Taj's hospitality. The rooms are spacious (we were in the Taj Club Room) with a very comfortable bed, washroom with a separate shower area, filled with good quality amenities. The restaurant, Shamiana, hosted a wonderful buffet with a prompt service. We'd the pleasure of having Republic Day special dinner buffet here and the breakfast buffet the very next morning. The choice of menu was extensive, ranging from live BBQ counters, dessert counters, Indian, Chinese, Breads and many more. We were stuffed like a turkey. The premises of the hotel include a spa, gym, banquet halls and an infinity swimming pool. The pool area has the Pan-Asian restaurant Wykiki, which has a beautiful ambiance and views of Kolkata's skyline. I loved to be here. Hope to be here soon again.

Pros- Rooms are good, neat and clean Cons- Lethargic staff at restaurant. Arrogant and ignorant manager at Shamiyana restaurant. Food is fine nothing great. Location is average. Property is small. No variety in breakfast and repeated food menu.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in. Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
