I have stayed at several other Taj Hotels and have always been thrilled. I have always been particularly impressed by the attentive, helpful, and amiable staff. The next thing to mention is the incredibly delicious cuisine. The breakfast dishes alone are a feast. Now we come to the Taj in Amritsar. This hotel is also in sound, not new condition. The rooms are reasonably clean and well-maintained. The bathrooms are well maintained but could do with a few touch-ups. Unfortunately, the Taj in Amritsar has one major problem: the service at reception and dining room. We often had to wait 20 minutes for the ordered coffee or tea. We often had to wave the waitress over to us. No attention was paid to us, even though only a few other guests were in the dining room. The chefs were often standing around in the kitchen on their mobile phones. Orders were forgotten, and we had to keep asking. The servers mostly talked to each other and only attended to the guests when requested. The staff obviously have no interest in providing good service. The breakfast buffet also fell far below the expectations we are used to from Taj Hotels. It was loveless, always the same thing every day. The reception also needs to be more staffed. And you still have to wait. No friendly words, greeting, or interest in providing good service. Our almost week-long stay at the Taj Amritsar was a great disappointment.

I had been waiting to visit this hotel for long now I has been there earlier pre covid to try one of their restaurants But this time we went for a special occasion It was our parents 40th anniversary N the hotel staff is so hospitable Kudos to them Beautiful arrangements They decorated the room beautifully with red balloons n tags of happy anniversary N even gave us a complimentary dessert platter with a little mix of everything Dark n white chocolate covered candies So loved it D rooms r spacious D hotel speaks luxury N the staff exudes so much warmth The toiletries in room were of this amazing brand ‘the forest essentials’. Its definitely my favourite .. Will definitely visit again just for the hospitality offered .. Kid friendly place too !! Great work done taj team

I had been to Taj Delhi before and the experience there was exceptional which made me book another stay at Taj, this time in Amritsar (Taj Swarna) and below was my experience. 1. For check-in: Nobody really came to us to greet and inform. I had to reach to the desk myself and then the proceedings started. No welcome drink. Just felt like we were at an ordinary place. 2. Room inside mirror and the city view mirror from outside and inside were both dirty and were not properly cleaned and maintained. 3. Breakfast was nice. Dinner was not that great in terms of taste. Was okay, nothing extra-ordinary. 4. The staff was okay, few were good, few did not care at all. 5. I stayed for 2 nights. Hi-tea was nice. 6. The birthday cake was a nice surprize (needless to say that I had mentioned about this during my booking) Overall, was expecting a lot from Taj swarna but it did not meet our expectations. Taj Delhi was expectionsl. Taj swarna turned out to be okay and like any other mediocre hotel.

Unfortunately it seems the town of Amritsar seems to have one 5-star hotel which then gives the hotel a certain level of arrogance which does not befit the typical Taj Service. An extremely dissatisfying 4 night stay with very little in the way of customer service when things do go wrong. Not a place I will be recommending or staying at again and hopefully this will give other upcoming hotels a chance to boost themselves so the Taj knows they are lot the only game in town. Had a phenomenal experience at the Taj Delhi in comparison!

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in. Please be aware that fulfilling these requests may result in additional charges.

The hotel reserves the right of admission. The hotel may refuse to honour the booking if it determines that the property policies have been violated.

If the booking cannot be confirmed due to certain circumstances, Adani One will refund the entire amount to the original mode of payment.

If the hotel is unable to confirm or deny the booking, Adani One is not under any obligation to provide an alternate booking in lieu of the unconfirmed booking.

Adani One does not collect GSTIN details on behalf of the hotelier, you may request this information directly from the hotelier during the check-in process.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
