We have an yearly tradition of exploring the Uttarakhand Himalayas and stopping over in Almora on our way back to the city. This time we came across The Himalayan Bungalow, with great reviews, which we had never stayed in before. So we booked the place unsure of what to expect. We arrived in the late afternoon and were checked into our room. The room itself is gorgeously designed and thought through. There is a huge balcony to sit and enjoy the views of Nanda Devi and the Almora city. Inside, you could be forgiven for thinking you have entered a luxury cabin from Lake Tahoe in California. Tall ceilings, delicate furnishings, ample space, and a wonderful toilet. However, the experience gets magnified with the sheer hospitality of the hosts. They lit up a bonfire for us without having asked to. Then the owner came and sat down with us. Through a wonderful conversation we understood the deep passion he has for this place and how it was built with great love and care. Every detail has been thought through, and made in the style of old Indian houses from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. We loved staying here so much that we ended up just unwinding for another 2 days in the property, exploring its many gardens. There is a small thicket of deodars above the property which you must check out, or the machan, or the garden below. The food is some of the best we ate across our entire 10 day trip. Everything, from a simple dinner of daal alu jeera, to mutton biryani, speaks to the quality of ingredients and homeliness of preparation. We couldnt end up eating everything, but we will surely come back soon :)

Beautiful views all around. Just serene! Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Almora. The host Jai Kapoor is an excellent person to deal with. Extremely supportive, informative and very customer centric. Great experience overall..

Such a beautiful place, entry nook and corner crafted with love. The hospitality by Kamal ji and his son is such that you feel like family. What I absolutely love about the property is how an earnest effort has been made to inculcate the traditions of the region into the fabric of the interiors. All in all, a great experience. Highly recommend 👌🏻

Firstly I want to congratulate and appreciate the host for creating a beautiful place to stay in the laps of Himalayas. It has all the amenities and of great quality too. The place is well decorated. It is very spacious with great view of Himalayas. The place is very quiet for a peaceful vacation. Rooms are neat and clean. They provide simple and tasty home like food. The place has very useful books and catalogues which describe the all nearby places to visit. The hosts are very humble and polite. They are always available and ready to help instantly. We would like to visit this place again.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in. Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
