During my two-day stay at the Mughal Sheraton houseboat on Dal Lake, I experienced an exquisite blend of luxury and comfort. The culinary delights offered surpassed expectations, with a diverse menu featuring both local Kashmiri cuisine and international options. The chef's expertise shone through, making each meal a delightful journey of flavors. The ambience of the houseboat was nothing short of enchanting. The traditional Kashmiri architecture coupled with modern amenities provided a unique and captivating experience. The panoramic views of Dal Lake from the houseboat created a serene atmosphere, especially during sunrise and sunset. The staff at Mughal Sheraton were incredibly attentive and hospitable. Their warmth and willingness to cater to every need contributed significantly to the overall positive experience. From the moment of check-in to departure, the staff's professionalism and genuine care for guests were evident. The owner's personal touch was apparent in every detail of the houseboat. We have stayed many a times in the houseboat but this kind of amazing experience we had for the first time at Mughal Sheraton. It is the most premium houseboat in dal lake with such beautiful interiors all over the property and is well maintained Rooms: they have centralised heating systems for winters and AC in summers, The rooms here are huge and magnificent with intricate work of wood and unique designs of carpet is being laid off at the whole property Each part of the property is well maintained and the food served here is great and fresh . Tried the waaqai famous Kashmiri food here for the first time that was just mind blowing . The quality of food they serve is just next level and they customise it according to your taste . Mr. Bilal who is the owner here is very sweet and treats u like your family , and I must say he has invested his heart into this houseboat . This is a must visit houseboat if u are staying at dal Lake

The shikara picks up from ghat 9. It was just an ordinary shikara, no blankets so in winter it became very cold to sit. The house boat is perfect - amazing wooden furniture and beautifully done. The entry lobby is very welcoming. There are some local sellers who will come to sell local handicrafts. The rooms are perfect, with AC to keep it warm, dresser, bathroom with sauna tub, fully carpet. The meals are excellent. One of the best breakfasts we have had in our 7 days trip to Kashmir. They have generator backup when there is no electricity. However, in the morning, we were the only passengers remaining as we had a late flight, so they didn't start the generator. Hence there was no water pressure, no hot water, no AC working. It became very cold. The shikara ride back took us to Meena bazaar, was leaking and had no blankets. The ride didn't last more than 35 mins and he took another random fellow houseboat care taker. For these reasons, I have taken away that one star ⭐ from 5* rating.

What an experience 🤩 delighted. The owner has not just invested money but also his heart and soul in the house boat. Every thing is personalised and lavish. We had a couple stay for 09-10.07.23 the staff is both interactive and supportive. The room,washroom, dining area, the sitting area and the view of the lake and mountains from the houseboat is worth the money. Our stay included breakfast. Our overall experience is lavish and soothing. One of the Best house boats in dal lake. Food is very tasty.
