        A flawless stay at Oberoi Cecil. The staff of the hotel are wonderful, with an incredible service-level and attention to detail. The property itself is magnificent, and our room with a balcony facing the valley was an incredibly special place. A very special time for myself and my girlfriend, as we got engaged during our stay in Shimla. The staff at both Cecil and Oberoi Wildflower Hall (proposal location) were incredible in organising a perfect proposal, and their attention to detail in welcoming us back to Cecil and decorating our room with celebratory decorations made it all the more special. It would be difficult to fault our time at Oberoi Cecil, and we will be returning as soon as possible. Many thanks to the amazing staff of this very special hotel!

        The Cecil Shimla exudes an old-world charm with its colonial architecture, elegant interiors, and breathtaking views of Shimla valley. Staying at Cecil is like stepping back in time while enjoying modern amenities and world-class hospitality. The staff is polite, welcoming and absolutely hands on! What you cannot miss at Cecil is the food! And a special mention for this goes to Chef Rajkumar (a 7 star chef). He goes out of his way and ensures all his guests have a memorable meal. He makes sure the food is as per the guests palette and curates meals accordingly. He is an absolute legend and it would be a crime to miss out on his food.

        It was a marvelous stay at The Cecil. No wonder Oberoi brand has maintained its reputation over so many decades. A beautiful,grand property. One feels a part of history. Staff is very polite and courteous. Go the extra mile to please the guests . Food is delicious. Highly recommend

        We were allocated a terrible room to begin with, building work in the next room and a view of the doorman and the traffic. As we were there for a special occasion, we agreed to move, but this was at the cost of £100 per night. Our new room was very nice indeed with a fantastic view of the valley bellow. Food is best described as limited. Tasty enough, but not loads of choice and much the same every day. But... breakfast starts with coffee. Any 5star hotel should know that. So, making guests wait 45minutes to an hour for a coffee is frankly unacceptable at this price point. It's just embarrassing. And a word about beer. It should be cold. Not room temperature. This hotel is a beautiful building, immaculately clean and the reception staff are super friendly, but it is being spoilt by poor managers in the food and drink departments.

        Vertical hotel. Old wooden rustic feel. Very warm and cost environment. Very welcoming staff. PS5, pool, cress, carom- enough for a rainy day if you don’t want to get out. Out open the door/window and the outside cool breeze and view is good to set your day. A food paradise! Special compliments to the chef and the spa team. That was our trips highlight.
