Tree of Life Grand Oak Manor, Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary

Tree of life Grand Oak Manor ... its an experience... a wonderful experience. The staff is really friendly and very helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The views from the hotel are superb. The hotel is very much inside the binsar wildlife sanctuary and there are lots of bird trails and walks in and around the hotel. The hotel is accessible by 4 wheel drive for the last 600 meters. (either your own or the free service provided by the hotel on check in and check out) The food served is very tasty and the portion size is large. We visited in May with young kids and the experience was great.

Note: This review is published after 11 months as google blocks reviews with URLs in them. We selected this hotel after watching youtube videos. But this was a mistake. They are charging too much money than the service provided. This does not mean service is bad its just that this hotel will empty your wallet. Room service will charge you 500/- each time. (If you don't want that, sit in common dining room and eat there.) I have attached all the hotel instructions and menu card that they offer. Not all menu items are available all the time. Lunch dinner and breakfast have fixed times when they will be served. There is no laundry service. The food quality is bad and taste was normal. Charges are high. We suffered from indigestion not sure because of water or food. They don't provide packaged water and they source from the streams they claim. The food also did not seemed fresh. Constant gas and bloating. My suggestion is to drink packaged water only. You can get the packaged water at double the MRP price from "Simba Cafe, Restaurant, Rooms". The hotel was gloomy and we sensed some negative vibe at night time. Not sure what that was. We just felt negative after evening. It might be due to our indigestion or something else. Not sure. Don't forget to bring crocin , thermometer with you as it is cold here. With great difficulty we managed to get 2 tablets of crocin from staff as they did not had any medicine with them. In case, you have no cab, the hotel will arrange that for you. No network comes here but wifi is available whose speed is slow. Not all rooms also have good wifi signal. The staff is very helpful and cooperative. I have no complains with that. Hotel will provide with you a guide to have a trek in forest for 1300/-. How to reach: -------------------------------------- You need to reach to first to "Simba Cafe, Restaurant, Rooms" . From there the hotel staff will pick you up in their own car as they road from there to hotel is very steep and off road too. Whom to contact: ------------------------------------------ The numbers mentioned in description are of their call center and it is not very helpful with details. This is the manager number whom you can call on whatsapp - seven billion eight hundred ninety-five million forty thousand four hundred six (Google blocks the reviews containing Urls or phone numbers) as there is no signal. Conclusion: --------------------------------- I will suggest that there are much better hotels available in binsar sanctuary with better food and competitive prices. This place will not match to standards than what is charging you for. It will fall flat. By the way there is KMVN also near by. Some words about Binsar : ---------------------------------------------- I am a nature lover and after watching youtube videos we were so interested in Binsar but forest are gloomy here and we did not had any fresh feeling. It indeed is quite here. Not coming to Binsar again. There are much much better places in Uttarakhand for forest lovers. May be it works for you.
