During our visit to Chennai on 22nd October, we booked two rooms at the UPAR Hotel ECR Uthandi for a two-day stay. The hotel is located in a nice area close to restaurants and beaches. However, we had a few unpleasant experiences during our stay. The breakfast was served too late at around 9:45 AM, which was difficult for our senior family members to manage. We also found a few cockroaches next to the bed, the AC was leaking, and when we asked for bath towels, we were told that there was no laundry service that day. They charged 560 rupees for an extra bed but did not provide it or issue a refund. The staff claims that it's not their mistake and ignores the issue. Despite these issues, the hotel itself was good. it was a pleasant stay.

Very comfortable stay. We had booked 23 rooms for our guests for 2 days . Every single of our guests were well taken care by shamil team of Raju & Azar. Every single element in terms of hygiene, service attitude was excellent.

This hotel is the worst one..... Terrible staff, front desk guy is the worst and indecent, I called the manager, he came down but no proper response from him, he was fully drunk , I went there for my placement at marine, the have no consideration..... Rooms are the worst quality..... AC is broken and beds have bugs in it..... Gloomy ambience.... Don't book this hotel at all... Even the Wi-Fi is worst....

I had the worst experience, there was no phone in the room, no towels, no way to call reception, each time we had to go down and ask. We had also paid 200 for breakfast while booking the room and they had given us store bought packeted idly which wouldn’t have costed 100 rupees. The worst of all was , they were clearing some waste right adjacent to the room and entire night we couldn’t sleep because of the smell. Even if you take this hotel ,please don’t take the 3rd floor( the last floor) which was where we stayed and it was pathetic

Room is very unhygienic pillow blanket and bedsheet is very dirty when I booked its showing all the facilities is available but its just showing in website very disappointed like shower gel shampoo which we use daily.......Location is awesome 👍 if they improve cleanliness it will be awesome i hope next visit will be better ..

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
