        The food is really good, the ambience of the restaurant is very nice so dose the the behaviour of staffs in the restaurant. However, the management need to worknon the room service area, the service in the room is pretty slow and the cafeteria needs to be improved with a bit quicker service. Problem starts if there is any marriage party or any reception which we have faced. Since the number of staff remains the same they have compromised with our services, leading to following issues we have faced - 1. Cold tea served every time in the room 2. Pungent odor inside the room as soon as we checked in. The check-in time is at 12 noon and we checked in at around 4 pm so they got plenty of time to clean our rooms, which they completely overlooked. After checking in; I had to call the maintenance for a room freshner 3. The TV was not strating every time we switch it off and staff were coming one by one on our calls; to check the issues being completely obviously to it. One of the staff casually told me the TV is not working because "the TATA SKY subscription payment is due," I still have no idea why he told me that. After being completely denied from watching TV for nearly 24 hours, I lodged 4th complaint with the maintenance desk. Lastely Mr.Sanjay Pratap Singh, the Honorable night manager came to our rescue, he aptly fixed the issue with the TV, gave us instructions and also his number if anything goes wrong. Only one person apart from the restaurant staff, who sreemed to be caring. 4. The biggest drama happened when we ordered food at our room as I was not-well. We have ordered 3 soups, one plate rice, and a Chicken curry. The guy who delivered the food, first came with the soupe, my mother requested a pouch of salt for the rice and chicken curry, the guy completely misunderstood that and left by pointing towards the pouch of salt that was served with the soupe; if he was not clear what the guest was saying he would have asked twice. However, they were kind enough to give us a few pouch of salt when I complained at their help desk. 5. Their maintenance team didn't changed the towels and didn't even bothered to clean the room properly, when we requested for the same while handing them our room keys, before going out for sight-seeing. 7. All the staff where busy with the banquet and didn't even paid heed to our request. The cafeteria being the worst, in the morning of 27.01.204, when they were taking long enough to get our coffee served, my borther complained to a young lady in the cafeteria, but she not even bothered to answer properly and left after speaking to the people with marriage party. You need to have a deep pockets to get your voice heard. The hotel is good for holding marriages and business parties but not for someone looking for a normal stay with his family. Arrogant people says SORRY, but just as formality - the Management is the perfect example of that. Not visiting not recommending!

        Overall the place was good. We attended a wedding at their place on 20 and 21 February 2024. It was also Ram Mandir Inauguration Day on 22nd, when we did our check out. It was a historic day in the Indian history. The rooms were good, clean and everything was maintained properly. I was bit disappointed with the cutlery 🍴 that you served with snacks and South Indian food was much below the par level of your hospitality. We know the norms of Chandigarh that plastic plates can't be used but yes so beautiful cutlery is available in today's market. A wedding is known from the food and services provided in the hospitality. Even if u have good chef and servicing isn't good. Everything goes in vein/waste. Pls look at all the aspects. I wish u all the best for future endeavour.

        I chose the hotel for my wedding, happened in Dec 2023. Trust me it was one of my biggest mistakes choosing VELVET CLARKS as my wedding venue because the management did almost everything to ruin my special day particularly the decoration vendor MR. SAMEER who portrays himself as a very top notch guy in this business but in reality he is an unprofessional and disorganised vendor. I would like to mention MR. VINEET SINGH (MANAGER) whose responsibility it was to check on each and every arrangement done properly but he miserably failed in doing his job. We spent somewhere between 1.3-1.4 lacs only on the decoration at my wedding, my family and I went numerous times to the hotel(wedding venue) to discuss things and share our thoughts regarding the decoration of my big special day but alas everything gone in vain. My points of dissatisfaction were : -The decoration was so average, Mr Sameer kept confusing us regarding the entrance decoration. -My brother just before the wedding asked him to add more flowers even after that the decoration seemed so ordinary to everyone (unworthy of 1.3 lacs) - On Mr Sameer’s proposal we agreed to spend more money on FLOWER SHOWER AND SMOKE POT but when I saw the videos and pictures I was so disheartened to see all his men on the stage doing things recklessly, photobombing and ruining my special moments UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISORGANISED ARE THE WORDS FOR SUCH POOR MANAGEMENT I am utterly disappointed and depressed with his work because I myself being a bride spend so much time in research and had told him each and every thing so precisely but all I got is awful memories exactly opposite of what I was promised. I do not recommend VELVET CLARKS at all for any of your extra special occasions like WEDDING if you want to save yourself from the MENTAL and EMOTIONAL ANGUISH.

        This is said to be a 4-star hotel when you go for booking them for some party. Sales person Maninder is way beyond greedy he is such a rude person that while handling our function we had to handle his tantrums as well. Pay full amount otherwise i will do this that bla bla. We booked this venue in 2020 and had a bad experience with their representatives. Though rest of things turned good. Decorations on point, the food quality was good, parking area good, rooms are also good.

          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
