About Hat Yai Airport

The Hat Yai International Airport (IATA code: HDY) is the main airport for Hat Yai, a city in southern Thailand. The airport is a significant transportation hub for Thailand's southern area and is about 15 km northwest of the city centre. The Royal Thai Air Force initially constructed the airport as a military base during World War II. It was later used as a civil airport for Thailand's southern region.
