About Istanbul Airport

Istanbul's newest airport, Istanbul Airport, is a monumental accomplishment for Turkey and its government. With the addition of this modern aviation hub to the city's two existing airports, Ataturk Airport and Sabiha Gokcen International Airport, Istanbul has become a major transportation hub. As of October 29, 2018, all passenger flights at Ataturk Airport have been transferred to Istanbul Airport, and the airport is projected to handle over 200 million passengers annually by 2025, making it one of the busiest in the world.

Istanbul Airport is located in the Çatalca-Göktürk-Arnavutköy region on the European side of Istanbul, around 40 km from Taksim Square and 52km from Kadıköy. Situated between Tayakadin and Akpinar villages, it offers flights to over 350 domestic and international destinations in 110 countries. Its duty-free area is among the largest in the world. Currently, only one terminal is in operation, with four runways (out of the six planned for completion) and five concourses accommodating the numerous airlines that operate from the airport.

Istanbul airport taxis provide convenient and safe transportation to your desired destination. You get three categories to choose from - orange taxis with budget-friendly rides with economical vehicles, blue taxis with premium transfer services, and black taxis with the most luxurious option.

Istanbul Airport offers reliable transportation options to downtown with Havaist and IETT buses, operating on highly frequent routes and available almost 24/7. Additionally, a variety of car rental companies are available at the airport, offering a wide range of car hire services for travellers.

About Istanbul

Barcelona is a city that celebrates life with a sense of youthful energy and constant evolution. It embraces its historical heritage and traditions while also having a passion for good food, wine, art, music, and culture. There are many places to relax, such as palm-filled squares and parks, Mediterranean beaches, and bustling tapas bars. It's an inspiring place to slow down and live more deliberately.

Barcelona is made up of distinctive neighbourhoods, each with its own unique character. It boasts an eclectic array of architecture that is unmatched by other cities. Visitors can explore the city centre along the tree-lined boulevard of Las Ramblas, the shaded beauty of the Gothic quarter, and the unique modernist masterpieces of Gaudí. The city also has many historical sites such as Roman remains in Barcino and medieval cathedrals from the 14th century.

Barcelona is known for its outstanding culinary scene, from Michelin-starred restaurants to casual late-night tapas bars. You can find a wide variety of options in El Raval, including sophisticated restaurants and boutiques. The city offers world-class gastronomy and traditional Catalan dishes such as seafood, jamón, paella and many types of tapas. The wine culture in the city is also an attraction not to be missed

About Barcelona Airport

Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport (IATA:BCN), also known as Barcelona Airport or El Prat Airport, is the main international airport serving Barcelona and the second-busiest airport in Spain. It's the largest and busiest airport in Catalonia and handles the majority of flights to the region. The airport is located around 12 km southwest of the city centre. It serves as a hub for Vueling and Level and a focus city for Air Europa, EasyJet, Iberia, and Ryanair.

Barcelona Airport has two terminals, T1 and T2. Terminal 1, inaugurated in 2009, handles the majority of flights and services both Schengen and non-Schengen flights. Terminal 2, designed before the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992, has three sections: T2A, T2B, and T2C and now handles only Schengen and non-Schengen services of low-cost and regional carriers.

There are many ways to reach the city centre from the airport, including the Aerobús, taxi, or private transfer. Taking the train is another good option. The R2 Nord train line connects the airport directly to the city centre. You can also take the subway, or 'metro,' which connects both terminals to the Barcelona underground network. The metro line that serves the airport is L9 Sud.

Barcelona Airport offers a variety of services and amenities including ATMs, currency exchange, chapel, duty-free stores, food, drink, and retail concessions, pharmacy, information desk, children's play area, and more
