About Munich

The capital city of Belgium, Brussels, is located in the Senne river valley. It has an authentic vibe, yet you can't take away its hip nature. It offers a multi-coloured experience to visitors.

Seeped in rich history, the city offers breathtaking architecture, great food, and welcoming people.

Though it is an important city in Europe, Brussels had a silent past. It has developed humbly. The city originated around the 10th century with a Frankish name Bruocsella, which means 'settlement in the marshes'.

The city lies at the centre of the invisible line that separates the Flemish-speaking region from the French-speaking one. Currently, most of the city's population speaks French.

Brussels had a vast working-class population during the industrial revolution, where it played an active part. But slowly, it has shed its proletarian past and converted the past quarters into hip cafes and restaurants.

Brussels is mainly known for its art and architecture. You can walk around the city, and you will be enthralled to see the majestic buildings in all their glory and right, followed by quirky ones and some rundown buildings that have their charm. The architecture scene picked up when Horta, the master builder, incorporated the art nouveau style in the 19th century. Summer (June to August) is the best time to visit the city because of the favourable weather and numerous festivals and events.

The airport has free Wi-Fi, medical facility, and a porter service outside the airport to help with the luggage of the passengers. There are also many more terminal facilities, including a smoking lounge, luxury spas, food outlets, a bookstore, and a duty-free area.
