The staff was excellent and the room was excellent with beautiful views of Barcelona from the 11th floor. The location wasn't super close to many of the things that you want to see in Barcelona because it's in more of a residential area. But a quick taxi ride puts you in the heart of the action. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family.

For the TLDR - consider staying somewhere else, this is not a safe place. This property does not live up the AC Marriott standards and I had a lot of issues at this property. The main issue being a massive safety and privacy violation. While I was in my room, another guest unlocked the door and walked in on me. The front desk had double booked the room. I understand things happen but in over a +1000 hotel night stays throughout my career (many time diamond/gold status holder), this has never happened to me before. There was no way to know if the guest returned the key and they never specified whether the new ones issued were different. I was in fear that someone could have access to my room at any moment throughout the stay. Furthermore, this was ignored and not acknowledged by management when I reached out to them via email about multiple concerns including poor room conditions and noise. They offered an insulting number of points at me without acknowledging the privacy and safety violation. Consider your options and stay somewhere else for your own safety.

Most rooms are very outdated with no USB ports for charging devices so a physical plug is required. Sofa bed on arrival was not made despite requesting it to be made for when we arrived and was informed it would be, if you want any plates/cutlery to use within the provided kitchen area it is subject to an additional charge. The room we had also had no working air conditioning which meant we had to sleep with the balcony doors open as the hotel was extremely hot and ended up getting bitten by insects throughout the night. The hotel said they could only provide a small fan, but this obviously wouldn’t make a difference as it would just be recirculating the already warm air. The only access to the bathroom is via the main bedroom which is also annoying as if you’re staying with someone using the sofa bed they HAVE to enter the bedroom to use the bathroom in the middle of the night which is really disruptive and an oversight design wise from the hotel. The shower was also within the bathtub rather than a standalone shower. The room also had the wallpaper peeling inbetween each piece of paper. I really expected better considering this is a Marriott and actually surprisingly has generally good reviews - but this couldn’t be further from the experience we had.

The room design is a bit strange very small bedroom and the bathroom huge with normal functionality Still one of the best mattresses I slept on Room service only available till 10:30 after that they only offer fruits and drinks House keeping is good the staff in general are good No supermarket nearby you need to walk 20 minutes for the nearest one Location wise the place is near very expensive stores you need to get to the city center for more reasonable prices

We were able to get a two bedroom which was perfect with our two kids. The room also had a great balcony and the hotel has an amazing outdoor patio for afternoon tapas and drinks

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
