        This is a "guest house" not really a hotel, so do not expect the amenities that a hotel has to offer. The rooms are small but clean and nice. My friends and I had 2 rooms, the AC in my room worked great, but the AC in my friends' room did not work well. My room was also larger, but theirs had a (very small) balcony, so I guess that was the trade off. The location was great, close to the metro station and lots of nice shops. A 3 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain which we went to every day! The staff was friendly and helpful. There is not someone there 24/7 but you can call someone anytime if you need something.

        Very old building and there was a leak in the bathroom. The description on the listing was different from the reality: reception was mostly unavailable and relatively not responsive, rooms were not equipped with coffee machine and other things that were listed on Booking. The common room was not equipped with cutlery or cups and coffee capsules were gone by our third day of stay. Room cleaning was inconsistent and not good, eg. trash was not removed for three days and the staff was unprepared for our stay even though we had communicated it before hand eg. the extra bed that we had requested multiple times arrived late and was not adequate for an adult, towels for the third guest had to be requested multiple times and no extra pillow was given (they just took one from the double bed). When we asked for an upgrade, the staff told us they couldn’t make a decision without their manager, who was not available until the next day because it was the weekend. Given the above and after communicating all of this with the staff, we decided to not extend our stay for extra days, as we had considered previously, (no official booking was made for these potential extra two nights). This resulted in the owner THREATENING us that he would charge us the extra nights that we didn’t stay, if we made a negative review on Booking (which of course we did!!). Do not consider, there are a number of much better options around the area for the same amount of money and better hosts.

        The location is perfect, in the heart of the city centre. The staff were very warm and friendly, helped us a lot. 24/7 online, even in the wee hours of the morning they will reply the messages. The only fly in the ointment is that there is no elevator and we have to climb stairs, which can be tiring for short trips.

        If there was zero star I would have put it... Try to avoid this place...we had no choice to change it since we paid in advance, for me it was a total rip off; the room was small in a shared apartment with nothing to do with the very high price we paid, average service not very clean, very noisy room close to the entrance and kitchen, no refilling shampoo, the bed sheets were tough, no bottles of water in the room except for the first day.
