      The location is strategic between Como about 20min drive and Milan about 45 min. You need car though. The rooms are goog, stuff are friendly. However the breakfast is good but not diverse enough, we stayed 5 days with all same types for breakfast.

      We booked a suite at the end of the hallway. We thought it would be quiet. But no because people use the emergency door as an exit to the parking. The problem was that the suitcases made so much noise in the morning on the metal bridge we wake up too early. We had to change room because the manager cannot avoid people using this emergency exit. (strange as themselves opened the doors ?!) So we had a downgrade of rooms. Finally they compensated only one night without consulting us. Also the breakfast is really basic. No dark bread, no orange juice, only pineapple juice.

      The location is strategic between Como about 20min drive and Milan about 45 min. You need car though. The rooms are goog, stuff are friendly. However the breakfast is good but not diverse enough, we stayed 5 days with all same types for breakfast.

      My wife and I had a wonderful weeklong stay at Hotel Albavilla. It was a business trip with some sightseeing opportunities. The location was convienent for my work and visits to Como, Milan, Bergamo and local towns and villages; a true exposure to Italian culture, especially during non-tourist season. Our room was comfortable and clean, shower was a bit small but nothing that spoiled our time; and the exercise room was top noch with a tremendous view of the mountains. The resturant was exceptional - Enrico runs a first class operation from the service and the delicious and flavorful foods, to the attention to details for breakfast and dinner; nothing but good things to say. And Samantha and Francesca were friendly and most helpful during out time providing great advice and guidance for our daily adventures. We look forward to visiting again as my business travels warrant.

      The hotel is a 7/10. The rooms are okay, the location is good (not far from Como and 45 minutes to Bellagio. At our stay we always had a high class and delicious dinner. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly staff and the waiters Ernesto and Marco.
