Terrible hotel. Did not stay there but felt sorry for my colleagues who did. Very slow service at the Vong restaurant (20 minutes + for a take away coffee), and buffet food organised by the hotel for the duration of our visit was practically inedible. Avoid like the plague. Hearsay from my colleagues but the rooms were small and dark.

Good things I see: * Comfortable stay with excellent service quality * Convenient location next to Pacific Mall and several companies and businesses * Two good restaurants: Vong and Le Burger * Superb rooftop bar with good cocktails and Chinese food: Chao Chao Something’s can be improved: * Hotel room interiors are just good and could be more fancy * Body wash dispensers in the shower need improvement Overall, the Alila SCBD hotel is a good choice for those looking for a comfortable stay in a convenient location with excellent service quality. Most important: Service quality exceeded expectations.

Service and staff were great. Rooms were good except for the 3-legged stool that was for the work desk. They are hazardous because of the design flaw perhaps? If you do not balance precisely while sitting on it with just a slight move you would be on the floor. My colleague fell off it twice whilst on a con call and I fell off once despite balancing properly whilst working. I hope they have since changed those stools after my complaint to the front desk. Just don't want any mishaps to the more fragile group of guests. Other than that the place is perfect in terms of location for my work. I would be back again and hope the stools will not be there.
