        This hotel is run by friendly, very helpful & considerate staff. The location is walkable to several great areas. The hotel room is spacious, clean, and gives a wonderful flavor of the city. A small restaurant is attached and great for breakfast, room service & relaxing dining. I normally don't take time to leave reviews & this hotel definitely deserves the wonderful review.

        If you’re looking for a clean, elegant, centrally located, and comfortable hotel with accommodating staff and nice bedroom features, this hotel is for you! The attention to detail from the staff blew us away. They went above and beyond, giving us a welcome surprise and a treat on our last night, which we really appreciated, as well as constant recommendations and 24/7 availability. This hotel feels historic yet modern, and also has a great breakfast, which we loved. 10/10 stay!

        I was expecting much more from this hotel considering the travel awards they had won. Our room had a very bad musty smell which was coming from the bathroom (I believe the grout was molding,) but the smell permeated the whole room. I mentioned this to the front desk who said they had housekeeping check and housekeeping claimed they could not smell anything and they "sprayed some perfume" (which did nothing). I didn't pay more than 200 Euros a night to sleep in a room that smells like a basement - very disappointing. They never offered to switch my room and just apologized when I mentioned it again at check out. Also, the shower in the bathroom was tiny- smaller than a phone booth. I am not a large person and could barely move around sufficiently in the space. I will also say that the staff were very unhospitable during our stay. Only once were we asked how everything was and when we requested extra coffee pods one day or silverware one night, they acted inconvenienced. The hotel is centrally located but be aware that ubers/Bolts cannot drop off or pick up at the hotel and you will have to walk up a block for a ride. Overall, very disappointing- I would not recommend.

        Beautiful hotel BUT beware that the rooms at the back on the lower floors have loud noise from the trams. I booked the cheapest room which apparently looks out on the back. I kindly received an upgrade but the room also looked out on the back. I asked to move but there was apparently no room. If you’re a light sleeper then I suspect you’d get better value elsewhere for this price.

        AlmaLusa was the type of hotel experience that you always want…the hotel was beautiful and cute and quaint and wonderful. The front staff was the most accommodating and helpful I’ve ever experienced. The wait staff in the restaurant were so kind and thoughtful and endlessly polite. They left thoughtful gifts and notes in the room, the had complimentary perfume at the front desk…..We would go back…we WILL be going back whenever we get the chance again.

          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
