        As previous reviews have noted, this hotel is really not up to the standards you would expect from most Marriott properties. The staff are extremely nice at this hotel and check-in was a breeze. The lobby is very nice to hang out in if you want to get out of the room. Also, the pool area is very nice and was pretty empty when I was there. However, the rooms are very spartan And have a very musty smell. Understand that this is Miami, but the humidity was excessive in the rooms and the sheets and bedding were very damp. The location is very nice and you can easily walk to all of the main attractions of Brickell. I would highly recommend that Marriott invest in some better decor and modernizing of the rooms, and then this hotel would definitely deserve more stars. It has a lot of potential.

        This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had. My flight arrived late I checked in after 1am. I was awoken by construction noise. I was moved to another room to avoid the construction noise and I could still hear the noise. I was told they moved to another floor. The attitude of the staff was unacceptable. I have a do not disturb sign on my door. The housekeeping lady knocked on the door several times and the knock continued to get louder until I answered. I was on a work call and I came to the door and told her not now. She continued to speak to me in Spanish and I speak English. I tried to tell her that I did not need service and I was on a call and she continued to talk to me in Spanish. I showed her the do not disturb sign on the door and she continued to talk to me. I notified the hotel manager about my experience here and she said there was nothing she can do. I've stayed at Marriott Hotels for years and I've NEVER experienced such poor service and had such a horrible experience. There are lots of hotels in the area I would never choose this one again. The water doesn't get hot it's more of a lukewarm. There's a sign that says the water will get hot in one minute but it doesn't ever get it hot. The hotel is cute and it's close to shopping you can walk to things. I booked it last minute our flight was delayed and the next flight leaves out at 8pm. I selected it because I recently joined Marriott rewards. However, this will never again be an option for me. The manager stated that she emailed the management team and there was nothing they can do.

        As a lifelong Marriott patron this experience was very disappointing. I booked 8 rooms for a pre-wedding cruise stay. I tried to contact the hotel by phone 4 times to ensure the experience was seamless for my wedding party. Every time I was transferred either to the management extension or sales extension there was no answer and the voicemail was always full or not working. I asked the front desk for an email and was just given the info email box. Two days to receive a response to a question and no help. The day of the stay guests were arriving at different times before I arrived and they would not let people into their rooms until I arrived, even though all rooms were guaranteed with a credit card that would automatically be charged. I had my 90 year old mother sitting in the lobby waiting for me to arrive with my card. After decades of loyal Marriott stays I have never been so disappointed. This is one Marriott property I will not recommend.

        This was a brief stay during a holiday weekend, and I was prepared to give a 'free pass' and overlook any service challenges. There were none present throughout and, in fact, it was some of the most initially welcoming hospitality of any Marriott property in all of 2023. The location is convenient to many shopping/dining options, and a short walk to both MetroMover and Metrorail. No great views from any of the rooms, but I wasn't desiring a view, so zero issues there. The placement of mini fridge was unique for sure and I initially overlooked it. The water pressure on top floor was very weak but a quality shower can still be done. Elevators were working fine and in good shape. The pantry in lobby offers minimal options, but it still works. Ice is only available in the lobby. I might have given this hotel the fifth star had I not been concerned with a safety issue.

        You get what you pay for. This is one of the cheaper hotels in the area, but it's fine. Don't come here expecting a 5-star hotel as it is not. Staff are so friendly. That is the #1 feature of this hotel. Room is fine but everything is kind of cheap looking. Pool is nice. My room had a balcony, which I enjoyed. However, don't expect water views. The view from the balcony is many other people's balconies. I'm not sure if I would stay here again. Maybe if I was on a tight budget. Probably I'd pay more though for a hotel that didn't feel so cheap.
