2 days trip to Thessaloniki and we chose Andromeda for our accommodation. Excellent spot, near to everything, the staff was more than welcoming and helpful and the most important -the cleanliness of the rooms was 10/10.

We stayed for two nights and chose the hotel because of the very reasonable price and the convenient location. However, the check-in experience was terrible since the receptionist couldn't find the booking and barely spoke English. We provided the same information repeatedly before we finally received the room. The room itself was clean but the air conditioning barely seemed to make a difference. The temperature must have been close to 30. Moreover, the ambiance of the room with heavy draperies and frills on the lamps was not what we were looking for. Finally, we had to ask the staff to clean the room despite having left it for most of the day. We were relieved to leave.

We arrived amidst the scorching heat of Greek summer, waiting for oasis to rejuvenate our energy and escape the heat for a while. However, the receptionist could not find our booking and her communication skill was below average. It was as if she hesitated to help us and just wanted to kick us out as soon as possible. Good thing that the aircon in the lobby is set at full power so I could keep my burning emotion and exhaustion down. After what is seemingly an eternity and thousand phonecalls later, she finally gave us our room. Finally, I thought, we could rest. Imagine our surprise when the room was just one or two degree cooler than outside temperature. The aircon control does not seem to do anything and the room, combined with its dark wall, felt like the forge of Hephaestus himself! Maybe that was the objective of the hotel, to give us the authentic experience of life in the mythical Greece when aircon was nothing but a dream. The frilly decoration on the floor lamp reminded us of Hephaestus wife herself, Aphrodite. Is this actually a temple of Aphrodite? Is this the place where one worships both deities in through fiery acts? Two restles nights came as we keep hearing the sound of Hephaestus working his steel somewhere else and the heat from his forge left me and my partner in sweat for the whole nights. As we checked out, we found out that the booking was finally found and everything was fine (administratively). But there was no single apology uttered. Oh well! What a service!

Very nice hotel with great and helpful people, it's with a unique rooms decor and clean ,the staff try and accommodate every thing we asked and recomended on nice places to eat and visit and even booked tables in restaurants for us ,couldn't ask for more .located in the middle of the city and close to all the restaurants and pubs ,on the water front .recomended to all . 🌷👌👍

Booking Policy
