Antique Hotel Old Town

Fraudsters! I do not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you want to lose money! Disgusting attitude towards guests!!! 1. Instead of the booked room, we were offered to stay in another one for one night (we only booked 2 nights). The offered room was very different from the booked one in all respects - the room was very dark, the window faced the hotel corridor (!!), stuffiness, dirty carpet, dirty bathroom. 2. Our mistake was to pay 258 manats in cash before we saw the room. We agreed with the “manager - manager - owner” that since the room was absolutely not suitable for us, we would go to dinner and in a couple of hours we would come back and either we would be offered a room as similar as possible to the one we had booked, or we would check out and collect payment. A few hours later, when we returned to the hotel, they did not offer us anything, we took our things, but they refused to return the full payment due to the fact that we had already checked in, and today they will not be able to rent out this room to anyone. As a result, under various pretexts (“the owner took all the money”, “you’ve already lived for a day”, “now they’ve raised prices everywhere”, “you may not have seen, but there are even worse hotels”, “everything is booked now, you won’t find anything better”, etc.) they returned only 129 manats to us! 3. After I wrote to Booking support, they returned another 70 manat to us. Unfortunately, it was not without a circus on the part of the “manager-manager-owner” - we called the hotel number and agreed that we would come in in 30 minutes, during which time the manager-owner would leave 70 manats in the hotel, because now there is no money there. When we arrived, it turned out that the administrator was not aware of this, he started calling the owner, he seemed to have to come over, in the end, after 20 minutes his friend came, and for another 10-15 minutes we wandered around the surrounding shops trying to exchange 100 manats, which he brought to collect 70. As a result, we paid the hotel 70 manats, lost about 2 hours of pure time in the proceedings, and gained experience that in dubious hotels it is better not to pay for the room before check-in. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Everything is very family-like. Nice and cozy interior, high-quality renovation, everything needed in the room is available (girls are asked to leave cotton pads in the room in addition to ear buds😊). It is located in the very center, which is a huge advantage. On the third floor, the dining area is also beautifully and comfortably decorated, overlooking the Maiden's Tower and other beautiful buildings. The staff is friendly and polite.
