I have stayed in this house MANY MANY TIMES and I am just now leaving a review (I’m sorry Paul). Paul and Lewanna (sp?) Gillette are two of the best people I know. Their warmth, generosity, kindness, good cooking, and genuine caring for others’ well-being is unparalleled. The attention to EVERY DETAIL- is something that only a true military family can begin to comprehend. Each night I climb into a beautiful antique farm house fully furnished with art, antique furniture, extra blankets, and antique lamps. The beds are plush and comfortable. Some of the blankets I would assume have been in county fair quilt completions.Breakfast is served family style, with anyone who wants to join- serving combinations of many foods- (my favorite is the biscuits and gravy)🤤 Hot coffee is always an option in their home. These two have meticulously restored their home THEMSELVES. There is a LOT of blood sweat and tears put into their home and it Shows. Paul is an Alumni of the Missouri Military Academy, and is still involved with academy. Their kitchen island has a piece of marble from the old “A” barracks! I cannot express how grateful I am to all they have done for me over the years. They are family to me. I promise you will NOT find a better place to stay in Mexico, MO (I’ve looked).

Gillette House is a terrific alternative for a stay in Mexico, specially for families of Missouri Military Academy cadets. It's less than a mile from campus. Paul and Lawanah are engaging hosts, the rooms are comfortable, and the house itself is a treasure. They have upgraded and the key facilities while keeping the charm of the 1890s construction and architectural detail. They are retired (she was a nurse, he was in the Army and on faculty at MMA), and they know Mexico and Mid-Missouri very well, so can recommend restaurants, site-seeing and fun adventures. But don't sleep through their breakfasts! My visit included a delicious sausage and egg casserole and fresh pumpkin bread. The B&B has just four rooms, but they're great for a couples' getaway or a family group. Oh, and Mugsie the dog is delightful. Calm and charming.

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
