Good location: If you come from Haneda airport staying on the Asakusa train line is convenient since it will connect directly to the airport. This hotel is located about 6-7 minute walk from Kuramae station (it is a bit of a difficult station to navigate so check signs inside for elevators). Kuramae is a nice area with many craft shops and nice cafes. The Sumida river is just behind the hotel and is a nice place to walk at night. The women's public bath has a small open-air bath with a view of the Tokyo Skytree and river as well which was a nice surprise given the price of the room. Asakusa and Senso-ji are about a 15 minute walk away. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel which can take you directly to Tokyo Station, or across the street up to Asakusa. Accessibility: The front entrance has a long walkway of shallow stairs. The rear entrance has no stairs. There are only 2 elevators which can become quite busy in the morning and evening. Definitely would not be able to fit a wheelchair or stroller in a single room. The shower/bath is Japanese style so it is quite deep and has high walls. If you have limited mobility you may find it difficult to enter and exit the shower. The public bath upstairs is more comfortable to use (provided you can sit on a low stool to shower) and there are handrails and steps to enter the bath. Room: The room was quite small, there is not enough space on the floor to open a big suitcase so you will need to pack/unpack on top of the bed. There is basically no daylight from the windows but that is expected. TV was nice, though I don't recall if the model in my room had casting/screen-sharing. Convenient amenities which they replenish every day but the linens won't be changed unless you stay 4 nights or more. Non-smoking room had no odours and everything was clean and comfortable. The desk makes for a nice dressing area. This room is fine for sleeping in if you plan to spend most of the day out. The baths on the top floor are also very good for relaxing your muscles after a long day of walking around Tokyo. Service: I did not interact with the staff at all outside of check-in and check-out. Check in process was smooth. I had accidentally booked one night more than I needed but since it was done through an external booking site they unfortunately were not able to change my booking and refund me the extra night. When I checked out I asked them to help me deliver my luggage to my next hotel which they did gladly. Housekeeping starts from 9am so if you don't plan on going out by that time make sure to put the "no housekeeping" sign on theoutside of the door, they will provide fresh towels etc in a bag on the doorknob.

Apa hotels are consistent in quality. Or so I thought after staying at 8-10 of them. This one is an exception. Room very basic. Room is tiny, as expected, but normally you can slide the suitcase under the bed. Not here. You have to jump over it to go to toilet or to the door. Smallest onsen I’ve seen at any Japanese place. And I’ve seen at least 20. It’s really tiny. Three shower places. Crowded even at 12:45am, 15 minutes before closing. Teeny outdoor bath. Not really clean. I actually booked it for the rooftop bath. Really disappointed. Should have booked somewhere else. Location is good. It’s the only positive thing I have to say.

I have recently stayed here for 5nights and have to say, this is the best stay i had compared to other hotels in Japan. They have Onsen, laundry and vending machine. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay here as its walkable distance from two stations and has 7/11 right in front of it. Also the staff provides fresh toiletries everyday.

This hotel has really good position next to Kuramae metro station and a bus station just in front of the hotel. Staff is friendly but not effective and they can barely speak english. The hotel is quite clean, breakfast is really good with lot of choice. The only minus is a size of rooms that are really really small, without some shelf or place for clothes or luggage and you have to be careful with water in the tiny bathroom. If you have big suitcase you can't turn around the room. When you open the window all you can see is a wall. There is also a space with microwave and self service payable laundry.

AVOID SMOKING ROOMS!!!! We were put in a smokers room on floor 11 and it was the absolute worst experience. The smoking floor has a horrible stench from the moment the elevator opens, the rooms are embedded with smoke. The walls, furniture, bedding, carpet everything smells like cigarettes. You will begin to think you smell like cigarettes. You probably will if you stay here. The smell gave us a headache and made us nauseous. I also have asthma. We asked reception to move to a non smoking room and they are making us wait a day when they could’ve accommodated. They said try the room deodorizing spray, Ma’am if that spray worked the entire floor wouldn’t smell AWFUL. Rooms are barely liveable in this state, I considered sleeping in the lobby to escape the headache Inducing smell. Rooms are extremely small even for Japan. I have a double and am sharing with my sister and there is no room for luggage or even to move in the room. We were met with some sass from reception and wished they were able To accommodate sooner but appreciate their help anyways. I booked here for 7 days and instantly regret it. Would not book here again.
