Highly recommended as long as you are okay with small rooms. Staff was very accommodating to foreigners. Highly suggested to use Google translate to speak with staff as most do not speak fluent English, but most are very well versed with technology and can help speak back and forth via Google translate. Location is very nice being about 5-10minutes away from Kyoto station. Staff treated my wife and I very well. The only negative we experienced was the in-building laundry which was only 2 for the entire building. If you intend to do laundry, be patient for a machine!

This hotel is located in an older building and is lacking some of the on-site facilities of the newer APA hotels. That said, the room itself is updated and has all of the same features. My only complaint is that the shower area is very low. My head hits the ceiling if I stand up straight while inside. Other than that our 5 night stay was positive. Thank you to the cleaning staff for keeping our room neat and tidy and the friendly greetings each morning. We would not hesitate to stay here should we visit again in the future.

Very thin walls, could hear the person in the next room snoring. The doors to the room did not go all the way down, which resulted in it sounding like everyone who went outside the room was instead in the room. The breakfast was not good either. Rather eat at a Café. The staff was perfectly fine.

Chose APA Hotel Kyoto Ekimae due to its close location to Kyoto station. A short walk from the station and we were there, staff were quick and friendly to take our bags while we waited for the 3pm check in. Of all the hotels we stayed at on our 2 week Japan trip, the APA double was the smallest of them all (which was the recommended room for us with our 18 month old child), so if you're travelling with a child, get a twin room. Aircon was not working when we arrived, so we had to look up and translate instructions for the brand and work out how to pair the remote and unit again, which worked eventually. Bathroom was also the smallest of all the hotels we stayed, at 5'6 my hair was touching the roof and my eyeline was above the shower head. The bath itself was a small, rounder tub, so no spreading out as we were used to. My wife and child picked up a nasty bug from something they ate while at their breakfast buffet (we narrowed it down to the eggs, as it was something they both ate but I didn't). By the time we returned from our Hiroshima day trip, both were grossly ill and we had no choice but to stay in our Hotel Room to recover for the rest of our allocated time in Kyoto, which sucked. We ended up not using our remaining vouchers. For the location, this place is great and the price was low, I'll most likely use them again, though in a large room next time... but I'll be avoiding their buffet.

AWFUL PLACE!!!! Always have a backup hotel ready! Chances are they cancel on you when you arrive. When THEY make mistakes YOU have to pay for them. We booked a non smoking room and got a smoking room. Our email confirmation said explicitly NON smoking. The people behind the counter admitted the mistake was on them and didn’t do anything. They just canceled our reservation and told us they couldn’t help. We are now standing with no hotel. Everything is booked and we have no plan whatsoever. ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP PLAN IF YOU BOOK AN APA HOTEL!!!! Or just don’t book an APA HOTEL. They have nothing under controls and no service instincts

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
