The rooms are clean. It's just that you can't change the AC setting. It was warmer on the day we checked-in. The AC is in heater (暖房) we asked if it can be changed to cool (冷房) they say it's not possible because the units are centralized. They shut the heater in our room, but it's still hot. We'll be taking an exam tomorrow so we're hoping to get a good night's rest. It's very impossible. We tried opening the windows but there is no breeze outside and there's ongoing construction at the moment. If you're thinking of staying here, just note that there will be construction until December 25, 2023.

We stayed for a few nights over Christmas. The room was clean but extremely small. Staff had no English but were more than happy to use Google Translate when it came to adding unforeseen additional charges. It was very awkward having staff handing out product samples to only the Japanese guests. It was a great location for a great price, but definitely not westerner friendly.

tl;dr just go to the other hotel (maybe the other two APA in the same area) and DO NOT go to this one. Convenient location. Very polite staff (it's Japan.) And that's pretty much it. Yes the hotel price is cheap and I know I am expecting too much but they pretty much didn't clean the room whatsoever. Dust is everywhere and the toilet has a strong smell that the deodorant won't help. My first time in APA ruined. I have been staying in other hotels in this price range and none of them is as bad as this one. I know other people are saying the hotel is fine and I know it's just not for me, but maybe some of you too. So take my advice and do yourself a favour. Don't. You will thank me later.
