Apple House Guesthouse Heathrow Airport

I had originally booked for June 9-10 expecting to stay in Wales until then. But I had a bad homestay situation and had to leave on April 14. It took a few tries, but when I reached Apple House, they had no problem getting me into the same room with private bathroom at the same price (so no additional charge - it was already prepaid, but nonrefundable) for April 14, which was the same day I called to change. I am very grateful to them. Clean room with a mini fridge, and bathroom. I had the choice of 2 clean, comfortable beds, a double and a single (the double was perfect), with comfy pillows and fluffy quilts. The bathroom was small but perfect for my needs, sink and toilet and shower, equipped with soap, shampoo, towels, and a nonslip mat for the shower.

BEWARE! BEWARE: My friend and I booked a room in early April of 2023. I booked through an online third-party service provider and received an email confirmation that my reservation had been made. When we arrived at the hotel it was 5 minutes to midnight and a gentleman was waiting for us. He told me that my card had not cleared and that I would have to insert it again in the card reader right then and there. I should have been more assertive and told him that had it not cleared I would not have received an email confirmation that the reservation had been made. I paid him $60 British pounds in cash and he did not give me a receipt. The next morning I checked my bank account and $78 USD had been withdrawn from my checking account. Unfortunately, I left early in the morning before the reception opened and was not able to ask for a cash refund or a cash receipt to show to the bank. My bank would not refund the money withdrawn without a cash receipt and nobody from the hotel has responded to my emails. Lesson learned. Be assertive if you see that the money has already been withdrawn from your bank account or insist on a cash receipt and for management contact information.
