Perfectly located for our needs for our little family outing. The restaurant in the hotel had things my family liked, there's a Giordano's a block and a half walking distance, and it is also walking distance from the symphony. Perfect, I tell you. Also there are many other things nearby that make this a great location for a visit to Chicago. The room was nicely appointed and the four of us managed well there. 10/10 will return if I go to Chicago again.

The check in was super fast and the employee was very friendly. Our room met all of our expectations and was very clean/comfortable. There were robes and slippers which were a nice touch on top of the free water bottles. The hotel is in a great location for walking to a lot of popular nearby places. We used the parking garage which was very convenient. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Due to the poor customer service we received after a mistake on the hotel’s part, I cannot recommend staying here. We stayed at the Arlo Chicago over Thanksgiving for 2 nights with 2 adults and 2 young kids. Upon arrival Thanksgiving evening about 9 pm we were told that the room we booked would not be available due to an “engineering issue.” We were supposed to have a room with 2 queen beds. The only thing they could offer us was 2 separate rooms, 1 of which they assured as would be complimentary (duh, this was your mistake not mine). We tried to explore other options like cot/roll away bed for kids and were told there was no other option. We were not packed to split up with 2 young kids (5 & 2) overnight. What’s more, the desk attendant doubled down and said we would have to switch rooms the next day to a 2 bed room because that’s what we paid for. The manager said the same the next day, but upon us leaving the hotel in the morning they couldn’t tell us where or when we would switch. So we had to leave family activities during the holiday weekend in the middle of the day to return to the hotel, pack up again, and switch rooms for their mistake. Missed out on valuable family time! The desk attendant let slip that they had “overbooked.” Terrible way to handle your mistake Arlo! When you mess up, you go above and beyond to accommodate the guest. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The first room we were in overlooked a docking bay that ran noisily all night.

The hotel and location were excellent! But a certain employee at the front desk who’s name starts with a C was being extremely condescending and passive aggressive to me and my mother during our stay in July. We’re South Asians for context. However, when he was talking the white couple behind us, his tone suddenly becomes all welcoming and positive “Hi how was your day!!” All the other employees were great. Other than this one employee, I had a great experience at this hotel!!
