        Unfortunately this accomodation was well below par than what we’re used to or even expected for a 4 star place because: - the room we stayed in (room 13) smelled badly of a chemical or excessive dust or signs of mould covered up under paintings & paint: - there was no access to a window but a door and as we didn’t want to take chances with rats or other creatures we kept it closed all night to be on the safe side. So we had no fresh air; - the toilet & bathroom sink made serious plumbing & gyrating noises EVERYTIME we used it; - the toilet got blocked & because that happened, the water from the shower was not flowing through to the drain; - the shower didn’t seem clean; - the doors kept banging shut at night; - a strange smell was evident in most places. I hope the owner considered knocking down the entire building & replace it with newer structures because from reading the other reviews this place needs a lot of work. Appreciate it’s an old house but the photos are misleading. I stayed in a 4 star guest house in Durban which was better than the photos, yet as far as guest houses go, very disappointed & a night here can dampen a good stay in CT. A great shame. 1 star place, not 4 star.

        We booked 2 rooms. One was great. Down stairs Room no 11 smells bad. The manager was of no help. Room 11 is a health risk because of the mould.

        It was load shedding when we arrived, NO provision made by establishment for any light whatsoever. We were three guests and there was only 1 coffee pod. The shower door had 1 panel missing. The house was noisy. Sounded like the guests upstairs were moving furniture on the wooden floors. When I let the hostess know all she said was, " I'm not sure who it could be".

        I stayed here just after Christmas and it was amazing, the owner and manager was very accommodating when we found ourselves in a difficult situation with nowhere to stay and they really looked after us, the room was also nice, comfy and a great size with super great towels and bedding. It was very pleasant and in a super great location in Sea Point. I cannot recommend to stay here enough so do not hesitate in booking here - A +++ service with a smile

        We loved this place. As artlovers the house is beautiful. Very nice owner and the staff as well. The views and beautiful surroundings and trees where you can hear the birds. Overlooking the ocean with beautiful sunsets. 😍😍love it. Supermarkt nearby to get some fresh croissants and fresh orange juice. Neighbors hood very save. Good location very central. We shared the 3 pp room wich was lovely big and to have your own space.
