For a budget hotel, this place is awesome! Great location (within 20-minute walk to every attraction). Breakfast was filling (yogurt, toast, fruit, eggs). Room was spotless and TV has a million channels. Lady at the front desk is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

This is an Ok budget hotel but definitely not a four star Pros: -staff are nice -close to Uffizi art gallery, within 20 minutes walk to most highlights of Florence -easy checkin -comfortable bed -shared balcony with other rooms for smoking outside was a nice feature (no view though) Cons: -breakfast is basic, 2/3 nights we stayed there was no meat or cheese, breakfast is mainly coffee, apples, oranges, cakes and croissants with lots of types of jam, sugar, two types of cereal, expired yogurt in fridge -hotel appears to ration food and energy- hot water runs out in shower after ten minutes. Another guest asked an employee to put out more meat and cheese for breakfast and the employee initially said they ran out, the guest pointed out she can literally see more in the kitchen and then the employee said he’s not permitted to put more out, there’s an allotted daily amount; heating in room doesn’t go beyond 20oC, a bit cold in the room -shower design is poor; there’s no shower screen or door so the bathroom floor will get wet when someone showers -no coffee or hot water machine in room but there is a minibar fridge

The good: 1. The location is absolutely fantastic. A short walk to just about any of the beautiful sights of Florence. 2. Room was a nice size and the beds were comfortable. Everything else: 1. Our air conditioning unit in 115 was barely functional. The room was perpetually hot, even with the AC on the strongest setting. 2. The breakfast options were relatively limited, and what was there was just okay at best. Coffee maker had milk that had soured - had a cappuccino that tasted distinctly of spoiled milk. 3. For whatever reason, the drain and floor in the shower are completely flat, so the water goes out and all over the bathroom floor. 4. The pricing. Compared to the other places in Florence, it’s not competitive. Compared to what you’re getting, it’s not good. 5. The WiFi was intermittent at best. Sort of like the air conditioning! 6. Last but not least, the city tax of 7 euros per night per person (the going rate for a four star hotel) is insult added to injury, considering this place provided less services than the two star hotel we previously stayed at. If you can overlook minor inconveniences, want to be close to everything, and are willing to take a chance on the AC, this might be the spot. Otherwise, I’d steer clear. EDIT: Excuses and lies. Down to 1 star.

We are currently staying here for two nights. When my friend went to take a shower she didn't even make it into the shower before the entire bathroom had flooded and began seeping out into the hallway in the room. Due to it being after 10:30pm there is nobody at the desk to help us with this problem. We had to use both of our bath towels to clean up the water that was everywhere. So now we are left without being able to shower for the night. The rooms are tight spaces, but the bed feels comfortable. Good location to walk to things. About a 20 minute walk from the train station.
