        It's kinda hard to find much good to say about the place. It's kinda located awkwardly the room has to be locked with a key the phone didn't work the wifi didn't work the tv/foxtel didn't work the aircon only works with the main light switch on which means they have to stay on all night unless you want to wake up in a lather of sweat because the blinds are insufficient to block heat/light only one window stayed open the hinges just gave way and window would shut itself. It seems most of the building is leased to international students on long stay arrangements so customer service is somewhat optional- real estate agents and hotel owners forget what happened during covid. They might have carte blanche now but nothing is forever and migration levels will eventually be cut back and only those who've maintained goodwill will survive

        Overall a very positive experience at the hotel, encountered some difficulties when trying to make simple changes to my booking today. It's unfortunate that one senior staff member's (Michael) inability to assist with something so simple has affected my overall experience. My only suggestion is to make your bookings on the same day for shorter stays to avoid overpaying.

        Worst experience. Unfortunately, the poor staff and lack of cleaning let this hotel down. Photos look great, but once you enter the actual rooms, that's where you start to get let down absolutely filthy! Bathrooms were disgusting. Do they even get cleaned once guests leave? We were told check out was at 10 am but received a phone call 20 minutes prior to asking us when we were leaving. It felt like we were being rushed out. Doors also don't lock by themselves, which I found strange. Very loud of a night time people shouting in hallways and doors being slammed constantly heating does not work which is not ideal when staying with a baby. Overall, the worst hotel I have experienced in Melbourne, don't waste your money will never stay with Avani again Still having trouble with this hotel days later after leaving, I've called three times asking to be contacted each time I'm told. Yeah, no worries, a manager will call you right back. I've heard absolutely nothing I wouldn't waste your money or time on this hotel absolutely disgraceful

        We are staying here now. Rooms are super clean and better than we expected. Got upgraded to a 2 bedroom with a balcony on the 33rd floor with an awesome view! Has everything you could need. Saw the hotel on travel guides and so glad we booked here. The guys at the front desk are super friendly, and nothing's too much trouble. Will stay here again!

        On first impressions, the lady staff member was extremely welcoming and helped us secure car parking ($40 a day!) before checkin as we were illegally parked and there was nowhere else close by to park even temporarily! She upgraded our room to a two bedroom with an excellent view and upon entering we were greatly surprised and happy with it all. Unfortunately the television has NO reception or signal, the smoke alarm kept beeping, the coffee machine had no water jug in it and nowhere to be found, yea coffee sugar was in short supply, the air conditioner in each room only works when the switches near the door are turned on (there’s no instructions on how to use anything in the apartment) the washing machine and telephone are purely novelties as they’re not plugged in or usable! The pool and view were the biggest attractions for us, and although there is a BBQ area, spa baths and sauna, none of these were in operation which defeats the purpose of having them advertised when booking! Our parking fob worked most of the time to open the gates to leave and come back but the door fob (although we parked on level 5) would only work on level 3 and despite telling the male receptionist this who instructed us to bring it down to have it fixed - and with the promise of a maintenance person for the other issues, no one came and when we went down to see him he was either swamped with new guests or was nowhere to be found??? So crisis endured u til the end of our stay unfortunately, having to climb two flights of stairs every time to get to and from our car! The views are excellent but with the price of the room … which was reasonable you’d definitely want to check that the air conditioning, television, washing machine, fridge and dishwasher all work before accepting it!!! And make sure there’s enough coffee tea and sugar and that there’s a water dispenser in the coffee pod machine or you’ll be stuck watching YouTube the whole time on your phone like we did for entertainment! The main bedroom had only one bedside table which was a pain and although the room had a 2x wall full view of the city, the second room offered more shelter from the rays of the sun come morning so it’s a novelty and not practical if you like your sleep! Overall a disappointing experience but served our very basic needs however will be definitely going elsewhere next time we’re in Melbourne!
