We had mixed feelings staying at Bailan Beach. First of all, there is only 1 pool, not 3, as stated in the description, and the pool is only about 1 m deep. In the morning I saw them throwing tons of chlorine powder into the pool, which explained the sharp smell while swimming. We stayed in a bungalow, which was pretty old, with mold in the shower, bad smell and and dirty floors and large yellow spots on the linen (I really don't want to know what this was). We were allowed to change from a family to another bungalow after we complained about the first one. If we had chosen a cheaper room, they would not have refunded us the difference. The other bungalow had the exact same issues as the first one and I do believe there are much better options on the island for the same price. The "manager" at the reception was quite unfriendly as well even though he tried hard to hide his annoyance. The breakfast was ok for me, but also not great and my partner kept having stomach aches afterwards during the whole 6 days. There were ants on the bread, so we had to be careful to not bake them in the toaster 🥲 The music was the same every morning and quite horrible as well, but that's a matter of taste I guess. We loved the area around Bailan Beach, with a very nice restaurant just across the street (Coco cafe) with the sweetest owner and amazing Thai food. Also the south of Koh Chang is generally very beautiful, with oat cappuccino at Bang Bao being one of our morning highlights. So we cannot really give a recommendation for Bailan Beach Resort, but definitely for the area, which is way less tourist flooded than the North.

Nice bungalow, the bathroom could use some attention, but good enough. The location would be good depending on what you want to do on the island, its a long drive from the arrival pier. Good pool and breakfast.

We stayed at the Bailan Beach Resort for six Nights and have no reason to complain. It is conveniently located to the laid back southern part of the island. The kitchen is very good and - as we were travelling with kids - is aldo very spontanious and open to some of the bizarrer requests of the kids. The staff was also very sweet and helpful at all times. The Bungalows were nice and clean and the Pool and the rest of the Resort were nice. One thing you have to know if you're a frequent sea-swimmer: the entry to the sea is rocky so bring some sandals or swimming shoes or similar...

Second time here. Off the beaten path, quiet, but close to things. Make sure to rent a scooter to get around, either from the hotel or just up the road.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
