Benjarong Hotel Bangkok

New hotel as claimed. Probably the first in Bangkok tt provides drinks & snacks for ALL guests in a small first floor lounge just beside one of the 2 blocks tt make up the hotel. Such a service was what I first experienced in June at Intergate Hotel Kanazawa. Of course, the Japanese one was upper class compared to Benjarong Bkk, in price as well. Anyway, room was fairly big and furnishings within expectations for price paid. Breakfast was nothing to shout about but decent by Thai standards for such a hotel. Gym eqpt were below par, cheap local made….should have spent a bit more and get money’s worth from guests being more satisfied using them. Instead we got eqpt that made a lot of noise, a stationary bike tt my wife’s legs could not reach, given her average height. A big thanks and shout out to both Khun Juraiporn & Khun Warunee running the Front Office! They were both very helpful with my requests when I got into some difficulties. They went out o their way to resolve ALL of them! Much appreciated! Location is rather convenient as one BTS & MRT station each were within a short walk. It’s not exactly a central location but rather near, a few km or 10-15min train ride to most tourist locations. Overall, great value for money!

Unethical and greedy hotel owner. I will file a chargeback. Been to so many hotels in Bangkok, this is the one and only terrible hotel with unethical business practices. First, don't waste your time with this hotel if you can't speak Thai. None of their counter staff speaks English, even though they claim to support english on Agoda. Big misrepresentation. Second, never ever book with this hotel because doing so is as good as throwing your money to the bin. I paid 19,640 thai baht (US$553) to book this hotel for 15 days and they want to charge me the full amount despite me rejecting the room within an hour due to unsatisfactory room condition. I check in at 2pm on the first day and found that my room only have USB ports on the desk. How in the world would you only have USB ports on the desk? Even my universal travel adapter can't use it to charge any of our devices. Mind you, it's not 1 or 2 days, it's 15 days for work. The staff still have the audacity to tell me to use the plug beside my bed to work. To the staff, why don't you work on your bed instead of on the counter. Next, the staff blatantly mislead me and told me to go 7-11 to buy some cable/adapter that would resolve the issue. I spent 30 mins going back and forth wasting my time. When I told the staff I want to checkout, she told me I had to settle the cancellation with agoda because they are the ones who decide whether anot I will be refunded. Which is a misrepresentation that I only realized after I left the hotel because agoda told me that the refund wavier cancellation is ultimately decided by the hotel. The hotel wants to charge me for full 15 days despite the fact that their rooms are unfit to be used for any business travellers. I left the hotel within an hour or so because their rooms and service wasn't up to the standard. They did not deliver the expected standards. The staffs also misrepresent the issue several times wasting my time going back and forth. If you want to charge me for the first night, I can still understand. But charging me for 15 days is as good as daylight robbery. And the funniest thing is now they've sold my room to someone else (since all the rooms are booked). Which means I couldn't even get back the room that I've paid for. I will file a chargeback. You may have your "cancellation policy" but I do have my "consumer rights and protection". To be clear about my case, I had to make payment before being shown the actual deliverables. After seeing the deliverables and rejecting it due to unsatisfactory conditions, I was still charged for the full amount. This is how ridiculous the cancellation policy is. If cancellation policy rules all the time you might as well have a "lifetime" monthly charge that can't be cancelled.
