        We stayed at this hotel for a week while exploring Cote d’Azur. While the staff are pleasant and the location very convenient for the public transport, we’ve encountered major issues with our room. The room was ok size wise, but the bathroom was tiny and badly designed. Our one in particular was mouldy - black specks of mould on the ceiling and on the shower walls. The towel hooks kept coming away from the walls because they were stuck on with adhesive instead of being properly secured. Shower doors were slightly misaligned resulting in a risk of flooding to the bathroom whenever I showered. The main bedroom itself had a slightly damp smell and the aircon unit didn’t work, so we were left having to open the window frequently, in November’s chilly weather. Decoration wise, the rooms are well appointed, but ours again was somewhat dirty - there were stains on the walls from where things had been spilled against the soundproofing wall coverings, the main mirror had specks of dust on it etc. As it turns out, their housekeeping are so short-staffed that regularly our room would not be made up until 4pm or so and I’d have to go down to reception and request to have it done up. Even then, because everyone on the maintenance team seems to be overstretched, the room would just not get cleaned well (used cups not replaced, bathroom sink left dirty, surfaces not wiped down etc). The wi-fi was fine, the lobby nice enough. The lift is tiny and just big enough to fit two people with luggage or a parent with a small pushchair. We did not partake in breakfast. While the hotel is rated 4*, it definitely did not feel like a genuine 4* experience. Overall I’d not stay there again.

        I'd like to start with a postivie and that is that the staff are friendly, however that is ONLY reason this is a 2 star review and not a 1 star review. When we asked if we could move rooms, they were prompt in replying and did allow our request. First off, the way the rooms look on Booking.com is a far cry from reality, the rooms are tiny, the walls are thin and you can hear the conversations and toilet flushes of your neighbours. The hotel is filthy, the room smelled damp and there was mould in the bathroom. I can only assume the carpet choice was made so that it hides stains easier and doesn't need to be cleaned very well. I've added pictures of the stains and dust from our room, as well as the little guest I found on our bed the morning of our departure. For £140 a night I quite frankly feel ripped off.

        Very good service and beautiful decoration in the lobby and in the rooms. However, the size of the rooms (and especially the size of the bathrooms) and the build quality of the rooms has huge space to improve (especially if you take the price into consideration).

        The reception was a racist and a liar. Fabricio tried to cheat me to pay more money for breakfast that is already included, and after I point out he never apologise! Then next day they (Sophie Abihssira and Fabricio at reception) don’t allow me to have breakfast that I have already paid, and just said they overheard my room number, which is completely ridiculous! Never ever come, totally rubbish reception and manager.

        So the place has wonderful service. The staff were lovely and helpful The room was comfortable. The location is perfect, 5 minutes walk from the nearest train stations and 15/20 minutes walk from the beach. However; The phone was not working, The milk pods given expired in February, The door was chipped, The painting is not done properly, And the wires for one of the light switches were exposed Overall, I would stay there again. However, I feel that some improvements need to be made before the hotels 4* rating really rings true and matches the spirit of those working there.
