This seemed like a pretty normal motel to me. If it was located in the Midwest, I think the prices would have been 1/4 of what they charged me. I arrived super late at night after the office staff had left. I called ahead of time to schedule an after hours check in which went smoothly. I'm glad they were flexible and able to allow this option. The location being in Estes Park and so close to the national park was really convenient. But the parking situation was not good. I had to park behind the hotel but I drove past a sign that said something like "staff parking only." I wasn't sure if parking back there was allowed but I saw other out of state cars parked there so I took the risk. I guess it wasn't a problem because my car was still there in the morning. I didn't like that my room was on the 2nd floor, with no elevator, and had an exterior door. I prefer hotels with interior entrances to rooms. The room itself seemed a little dated and smelled a little strange. It was very faint and I'm not sure what it was. Might have been a neighbor or something else in town. But I guess my nose adjusted quickly or I was too tired to care because I went straight to bed. The bed was comfortable and clean which was the most important thing for me. In the end, I'd probably stay here again. I just wish it wasn't so expensive but the price is probably dictated by the location more than the quality. I went back and forth between 3 stars and 4 stars on this review. I finally landed on 3 stars because that seems neutral to me. Not great, but not terrible either. I'd also like to reiterate that all the staff I interacted with were great.

On an off-season stay a couple weeks ago, we were able to get one of the mountain-view double-king rooms and really enjoyed it. Hotel was very-well maintained and everything seemed like new. The hot-tub and pool were spotless. Breakfast was great. Really glad we stayed.

We stayed here for 3 days in a double King room. It was very spacious and included a sitting area with two chairs. There was a refrigerator (with a separate freezer compartment, microwave & coffee maker. The pool was nice, clean & plenty of fresh towels available. My kids enjoyed the breakfast and had only good things to say about the choices. We usually stay at another hotel chain which isn't available in Estes Park but several times we all commented on how pleased we were with the hotel. I really wanted to stay at a location on the river near downtown or even west but couldn't justify the difference in price. We would definitely stay here again.
