        My room on the 16th floor is well-designed and clean, and it has a great view. I had everything I needed for the trip. The room is quiet! The king bed was very comfortable to sleep on. The bathroom is spacious. However, the walk-in shower area is a bit narrow, and the shower curtain didn’t completely prevent water splashing outside. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and professional. Overall, this hotel offers a nice stay and great value! I recommend.

        *Updating my review on December 12, 2023. Thank you to the manager Jay for reaching out directly and taking the time to walk through the problem we experienced and why much couldn't be done. It would've been helpful to have the insight up front instead of the responses we received which just frustrated us. We did reach a solution if/when we book his hotel again which is very likely since our stay was pleasant. Thank you for taking the time, Jay! I really wanted to give this a 5-star rating but ran into an issue that failed to get resolved and unfortunately, customer service is extremely important to me. Over 24 hours prior to arrival, I noticed on Best Western’s website that the room rate was $200 cheaper per night than when we booked. I called the hotel first in which they replied they could not do anything so I decided to call customer care at corporate in which they had me file a claim form and told me someone would be in contact with me. Fast forward not even 24 hours and they told me that they don’t honor lower rates from THEIR OWN website and because it was less than 48 hours from check in, they couldn’t do anything but I could ask the hotel manager since they are responsible for raising/lowering the rates at their specific location. Funny enough the manager was never present at our hotel to speak to and they were not willing to work with us at all. Aside from that, the hotel was very clean and the room was spacious for NYC. It was a little loud at night but that is expected for a city. The location was within walking distance to just about everything in mid-Manhattan and public transit was easily available. They were kind enough to hold our luggage for a very responsible/small fee ($1 per bag) until we were departing the city so that was nice too.

        Very good for solo travellers, as rooms are compact travellers with heavy baggage may suffer for space, staff is fantastic, location is nice. Very clean and nicely maintained. Front desk lady Khawla and Guy Mohammad was very kind and generous. Overall it's value for money stay. Note. there is no eatery, just a coffee shop.

        I cannot stress this enough – avoid this hotel like the plague; my stay was a complete nightmare. Picture this: the walls are so thin, you might as well be roommates with the folks next door who seem to think it's karaoke night every night. And the idea of cleaning? Well, it's more like a casual switch of towels and sheets – don't expect any real cleanliness. Now, let me recount a rather absurd incident: when my friend accidentally turned the sheets into a canvas for cough syrup art, the logical expectation would be a thorough cleaning or at least a replacement, right? Wrong. The housekeeper decided it was a splendid idea to toss my bags into the great unknown, complete with precious gift cards. Naturally, I thought the staff might offer some solace or understanding. Wrong again. Instead, I was met with a level of rudeness and disrespect that felt like a script from a bad comedy. To add insult to injury, despite losing some serious cash due to my bags being treated like unwanted baggage, there was no compensation in sight. In summary, save yourself the hassle and find a different spot. Between the echo chamber walls, lackadaisical cleaning routine, and a staff that redefine unprofessionalism, this place is a hospitality disaster. Your peace of mind deserves better.

        The Best Western Premier Empire State Hotel is a good value for my money. New York hotels are expensive but this was reasonably priced and very well run. I had Halloween party to attend several blocks away so it was ideally located. Small but very nice lobby and lounge. Immaculate and welcoming. The staff is very professional and amiable. I have stayed there before. This was my second stay. Very conveniently located. For me a good deal and very nice stay. The only thing missing was a usual mirror for makeup with both regular and magnifying side. So bring one with you.
