Blossom Guest House

DO NOT STAY at Blossom Guest House Edinburgh. We booked a room for 4 nights in September for May the following year and paid a deposit. They emailed us a week before we were due to arrive asking me for my CVV code on my card so that they could have my full card details. This was their way of us confirming our booking... We wouldn't give them our full card details as confirmation of our stay. Never have we been asked before to give out our full card details over email to any hotel or residence to confirm our stay before. It is unsafe to do so and no bank would recommend doing this. They then cancelled on us a week before we were due to go on our only family holiday of the year because of this and absolutely ruined our family holiday, causing us a lot of stress. Other hotels in the area say they should not have been able to do this and the only reason they did so was because it was marathon weekend in Edinburgh and they knew they could get more money out of last minute bookings from runners than guests that had booked in advance. Devastated doesn't even come close to explaining how we have felt all day.

Edinburgh Castle - One of the most iconic landmarks in the city, Edinburgh Castle sits atop Castle Rock and offers stunning views of the city. The castle has served as a royal residence, military stronghold, and prison throughout its long history. Royal Mile - This famous street runs from Edinburgh Castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, and is lined with shops, restaurants, and historic buildings. Palace of Holyroodhouse - This is the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland, and is located at the bottom of the Royal Mile. Arthur's Seat - This extinct volcano is located in Holyrood Park and offers panoramic views of Edinburgh. The National Museum of Scotland - This museum showcases the history, culture, and natural wonders of Scotland and is located in the heart of the city. St Giles' Cathedral - This beautiful cathedral is located on the Royal Mile and is the mother church of Presbyterianism. The Royal Botanic Garden - This stunning garden covers over 70 acres and features a wide variety of plants and flowers from around the world. The Scottish Parliament - This modern building was opened in 2004 and is the home of the Scottish Parliament.
