        TLDR; Convenient location, great stay and would recommend! The front desk staff was all very friendly and helpful. Communicating in English was a little tough but got what I needed! A pin code is assigned for the front door entry during late/early hours and room door. Some of the floors have a microwave, there's a fridge in the room, dedicated wifi by room, self lock luggage with provided locks, self check out. The hotel provided plentiful free bread and water bottles in the room, toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash. There was no room service or towel changes during our stay but overall it was very clean and comfortable beds! The location is conveniently close to the busy parts of Kyoto such as Nishiki Market, Ponchtocho Alley and Gion.

        Pro: located good for walking into the historic areas, clean, luggage storage in the hotel entrance for free. Negativ: milk glassed windows, you cannot see outside (!!!) and you cannot open it, very hard mattress, could hear neighbours blow drying and coming and going, service unsatisfying. We were asked to cancel our booking the night before with the comment that our booking was under some Japanese discount Programm only for Japanese which was not shown on booking. In the end we were able to come and stay but only because we contacted booking. Uncertainty no one needs on a holiday. I would definitely not come back and cannot recommend.

        It was a nice small hotel with affordable price, great location di Kyoto main street. But like some other review, they let people to be loud in their hotel room while we are trying to sleep. Lucky enough we were so tired after going around the town. Room and bathroom are clean and there is a laundry machine that makes it easier to do our laundry.

        Probably the worst, most inactive hotel management you can imagine. Let several customers drink, sing, play music, talk incredibly loudly at the door at about 2 to 3 am. There are many mansions and apartments near the hotel. However, the hotel manager or stuffs do not do anything to remind or stop their customers, rather connive those selfish and inconsiderate behavior.

          Booking Policy
          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
