One of the best hotels I stayed at during my visit in Japan! The Candeo Hotel is simple my magic and I loved every minute of my stay there. I rate this hotel highly purely for its cleanliness and the overall hospitality of the staff! The hotel is very well located in the heart of Kyoto (lots of restaurants around) but situated on quiet street. The Spa and the room was divine with various accessories available (soaps, body milk, brush, pajamas, slippers, etc.). The rooms was small but it is well designed and decorated with a beautiful open view. Frankly, I could have spent many more nights at this hotel and it was worth every penny!!!

A really good hotel. I came from a Tokyo 3 star hotel and checked into Candeo Kyoto, it felt like a 5 star experience in comparison. On the final night I didn’t want to leave the hotel because it was so comfortable with great ambiance. The breakfast was really cute, but eating it for 5 days in a row kind of got a bit tedious, but that’s probably because it’s not the kind of breakfast I am used to. The rooms were incredibly spacious and very comfortable with modern up to date modifications. It also has a very cute Japanese focused interior design, which really added to the feel of being in a cultural hub of Japan. The hot spa was definitely a key highlight of this stay, went each night to wind down and certainly helped. Was spacious and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly at reception and the cleaning staff. Location, very convenient and close to all major access points. The street is very quiet at night which is perfect or a good night’s sleep. The price of my stay was so good too! I didn’t want to leave because it was so comfortable! I will definitely look out for more Candeo hotels to stay at elsewhere as it seems to have a good quality to it, hope it’s like this in Tokyo too! Overall a 5 star experience and this doesn’t come lightly from me!

What a location... So close to everything you need. Beautiful frontage from the street. Felt like you were really introduced to culture. Reception a bit crazy in the mornings and evenings with people checking in and baggage. Laundry facilities available but only 2 washers/dryers, could do with more as people had to keep asking Reception to unload people's finished washing so they could use it. The dining was just beautiful. Each day at breakfast was a very well presented breakfast box treat. Each day something different to try. House keeping was good but could improve the cleaning between clients. I had to clean our spa before we would use it, though I'm sure the staff would have organised this had I asked. They were all so polite and easy to communicate with. I would recommend spa rooms as other rooms are on the small side. Particularly if your travelling with children. The price was very reasonable. Very good value for money.

Had a very enjoyable stay here for 3 nights in December. Very friendly welcoming staff. A little limited with english at reception but we are in Japan! I don’t understand others criticising the lack of english. And it’s really NOT a problem. The entrance is through an older building, old wood and flagstones, adding to the character of the hotel. Possibly not convienient if you have loads of luggage. Location is brilliant, near all the interesting cafes, restaurants and shops; pity those with too much cash staying in a big lux chain hotel in a compound in a dull part of the city. Breakfast needs 2 days notice so gave it a miss; on a budget too, but 2 days seems a bit excessive. The room is not huge, but fine, quiet and works well. A good Finnish sauna, with Japanese style wash area, hot and cold pools available which was great after travelling or a long day walking around. Washing machine - coin operated- in laundry area available too. So a lovely stay, warm welcome, nice spar, good rooms, great location, good price, not high end lux, but then not a high end price.

There are many cafes and restaurants around the hotel where you can grab a bite to eat. The famous Nishiki market is also within walking distance. Although the hotel is located in the city center, it has very quiet and comfortable environment. The staff were friendly and the hot springs were very satisfactory.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
