I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Canopy by Hilton Madrid Castellana and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped into the lobby to the time I checked out, every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations. Most importantly, the staff deserves special commendation for their outstanding customer service. From the warm welcome at the reception to the extremely attentive housekeeping and restaurant staff, everyone went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. As an example, I had forgotten my video game console in my room after checkout and the housekeeping staff had very kindly retrieved it for me. A couple of exchanges later with the front desk reception and my video game console was back home. So once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your goodwill and kindness has made a world of difference.

Considering it’s a 4-stars hotel, I was not expecting to enter the room I booked weeks in advance to be in such condition: the electricity was out, and I realized soon that the light switch and electric panel where not ready for the arrival of guests (see pictures). Hopefully I went straight back to the reception, who managed to find me a similar room at a different floor. I’ll come back, mainly for the service, hoping for no other bad surprise 🤞

I visited this hotel for the second time with cousins (The first time was solo). I loved the location. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of foods. I also had a burger in the lobby restaurant. It wasn't cooked as well as I would have liked, but it was overall enjoyable. It was served with a Sun dried tomato tartar (?) There was also barbecue sauce as a standard condiment. I used that for my fries. 😁

Had a wonderful stay in the Canopy! Beautiful interior design of the hotel, the rooms and great bar! Great touch with refillable glass bottles to fill up with filtered water down the hall and back to the room. Very comfortable beds and the breakfast is very good with loads of choices. We had room service on one of the evenings and that was great too! This hotel is walking distance to the Madrid FC stadium, which is a shame we didn’t get a chance to see a game! We’ll stay here again next time we’re back in Madrid!

We were double charged during our stay there, spoken to the front desk team who insisted that a refund will be offered once they have sorted it with their back office. This is on the 1st November. Still have not received the refund for the second payment. Spoken to their management team on the day but they could not have been bothered to chat with me personally. I am a diamond Hilton member but I think from this experience it is enough for me to leave their program. Definitely not the service you use to get. Absolutely a shamble, I would definitely avoid this hotel if you are in the area. EDIT: See reply from hotel. Apologies at this point in time isn't acceptable when the matter hasn't even been formally addressed. After raising with the hotel's management and the Hilton brand I have yet to receive a reply. The monetary issue was only resolved thanks to my credit card company (very glad I used credit card as the deposit card). If you are after an easy relaxing trip honestly avoid this hotel, we thoroughly regret our decision to stay with Canopy.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
