        I give 4 stars only because we did not go down to the restaurant to experience the food and service there. However, from the second we walked in, we were greeted by friendly and very helpful staff. The hotel was very clean and neat. Sadly we only stayed for one night, but immediately felt relaxed when we entered our room, which had a beautiful view of the harbour. The location was perfect and allowed us to travel to the V&A and back without any hassles. I would definitly visit this hotel in future.

        I did not enjoy this at all. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that there is no Alcohol because the hotel is halal. This I can understand. What I don't understand is that we did not have toilet paper,shower caps,extra towels or even the basic necessity of a scissor in the room. There were two very flat pillows on the bed and they delivered the wrong food in our room. No service was given to take our bags up to our room. The morning breakfast was cornered off outside so we were only allowed to eat inside in the middle of summer with beaming temperature. Not to mention the plastic packet that was laying in the floor between the till and the table closest to the window where the couches were trampled over so many times and still no one picked it up. The kitchen staff were cleaning the glasses that were taken out of the glass dishwasher (that is if they have a manually) at the back where the couches are against the wall opposite the breakfast buffet. Can someone please help assist in why the etiquette of a hotel so highly ranked is doing this? Or did I catch the right place at the wrong time? Ps the lady that was making the omelettes is a legend she is talented at making an omelette and she means for it to taste like she prepared it with care. Sadly I won't ever return here but I really hope in future these suggestions will be taken into consideration.

        We stayed here for business purposes and it's perfect location next to the CTICC. Rooms were really nice (we booked the renovated superior rooms) and staff extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast is good, having a variety of options and freshly made eggs/omelettes and pancakes. My only advise would be to have a proper coffee machine with more options to choose from ;) We had a great stay, real value for money!

        Possibly the worst service ever received in Cape Town. Went for a Sunday coffee in the hopes they would be open. They were but clearly not a popular stop for mid afternoon tea. The coffee was self service from a machine and the waitress could not understand what we wanted to order. It was so surreal we ended up pointing it out to her on the menu. 45 min later and 2 check ups we had still not received our simple order of cheesecake and crepes. As we were about to leave we were informed that the order was ready. It arrived incorrect and we were disappointed with the poor quality of what did arrive. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I can’t understand how this place manages when they are busy let alone when they only have 6 patrons. Would not recommend this place at all.
