        I am providing 5 stars to the property which is 3* as a sign of excellence. As a travel agent, I chose this hotel for my group of 24 pax. I was very pleasantly surprised by the attention and service provided by the hotel. Even if it is a 3* hotel, I can say, you can use it as a 4* economy property without any hesitation. It was very clean, renovated, and updated in rooms and common areas, shampoo and shower gel provided, and brand new bed linen and towels (which usually tend to be an issue in other 3* hotels). Rooms were cleaned and the bed was fixed every day. They had a large choice in the breakfast including fresh squeezed orange juice, an omelet made by the chef in front of you. Perfect location just 200 meters from the train and metro and 950 meters from Sagrada Familia itself. Highly recommend it for families, friends, and group travelers.

        We had a very good experience. The staff was very nice and helpful and even allowed us to check in early because our room was clean. The room was very clean and well equipped. Only thing that bothered me were the glass doors of bathroom and thin walls (we heard everything on the hallway as if it was in our room). We also ordered pizza (room service), but unfortunately it was terrible. Apart from that i definitely recommend the hotel, we had a great stay + location is great, walking distance from la sagrada familia.

        Great Hotel! Super friendly staff. I was worried at first because of the bad reviews I read but i would say never judge the book by it's cover. When we asked for taxi they personally go out, get you a taxi and even open the door for you. Service is perfectly amazing! I would definetly come back and stay in the same hotel when I get the chance to visit again Barcelona. Also it is very accessible to the center, metro is just walking distance. Small supermarkets everywhere and so is the shopping center.

        Stayed here for a week and found the hotel very clean. The desk staff were very helpful and patient, and speak good English. I would say be aware that the pool is quite small and does not get much sun due to being on a terrace at the rear of the hotel on the 2nd floor of the hotel (there are 9 floors). The location is convenient as trains run direct from the airport to Clot station.

        Overall this hotel serves what it is intended for. Catalonia Hotel Sagrada Familia is located in a residential zone within walking distance of the Sagrada Familia and the center of Barcelona is easily accessible by metro or rental bike. Unfortunately, there are some caveats. We noticed that the front desk staff does not provide quality service. You are not greeted (nor acknowledged) and when the counter is unmanned it takes a long time before someone comes to help you. It is not possible to pay the room deposit with a maestro card. Only credit card or cash, but this must be a physical credit card, because contactless payments are not accepted. We also wanted to park our rental car in the hotel parking garage for three days. However, this is subject to payment, which is not stated anywhere. We were surprised by this. the front desk agent made the payment and it seemed to be settled, until we noticed that he had settled the amount for five days instead of three. sighing, he processed a new invoice. This attitude is not acceptable towards guests! There was a pungent odor in the room we were in that was very unpleasant. It also seemed like the room had not been cleaned properly (hair in the sink, stains on the tap and dust on the bedside tables and other furniture). Fortunately, there was a mini fridge and the shower was very pleasant, and it was nice that there was also shower gel and shampoo in the shower. The beds were fine as well, but could use more pillows and the room could use more plugs to charge your devices. The hotel is also difficult to reach by e-mail. I sent an email to the hotel months ago with a number of questions about the room, among other things, and they never responded! To sum things up, it is really the attitude of the front desk staff that surprised us if this had been better we would have experienced our stay as a lot more pleasant.
