Well, its a 2 star roadside truck stop motel masquerading as something else. The marketing photos are misleading. We had a Superior King, top floors 8 and 9. The view from one window was a brick wall, and from the other through the bars we saw some rooftops and AC units. Tiniest room, no wardrobe. The bed jammed next to the wall required climbing in and out. The bathroom was an airport type cabin. The place was clean. The location is fantastic, loads of bars, restaurants, dive bars and you are in the heart of the business centre.

The room is not the greatest but it’s a good price. Window view of a wall. And the room’s latch was installed backwards so didn’t work. But it was clean. Fridge hidden beneath closet shelf. What made it was the service. Front desk and room cleaners were very nice and were amazing in accommodating requests. Asked for extra blankets to pad the flat couch that acted as a 2nd bed for third person. Worked out well. Because it’s located in a backstreet with bars and saunas, nightlife can get a little loud outside late at night but not too bad. The best thing about it for us, again, was the service. (And it was close to Akasaka Bakery). Laundry room on 4th floor only has two machines (washer/dryer) so you might have to wait for others.

Looks very grand in photos, but it is more average than expected. Clean and tidy, however, the consumables in room are not replaced after changing customers. The location is good besides several railway lines and the cost is also cheaper than other hotels.

Room was small but that was expected for the area. So be warned if you have a lot of suitcases. They do have washera and dryera on site. Everything was clean and in great working order. Only issue was it stated there was an extra bed for the third person in my group and it was a futon like couch. Also we had two windows and they both faced other buildings but we did not book it for the view. The area is great to walk to the Tokyo metro station and lots of great places to eat and explore. Price point was great for my small family as we really didn't spend a lot of time in the room. I would absolutely book here again.

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Japan, and I’ve been 3 times! The staff are extremely friendly, and most speak English. This is super helpful if you are a foreigner, and especially if you are a 1st timer. Akasaka is only 5 stops from Shibuya and 3 stops from Ginza, so the location is excellent! This hotel is located on a street with many convenient options for food, and there are some surprisingly good Korean restaurants here! The rooms are spacious & very clean. Sone rooms have bunk beds for children so a major plus if you are traveling with family. The only thing I don’t like is the public Wifi, there is no password. This may present a security threat if you work from your laptop. I suggest using a VPN service. Overall, a 5/5 experience! Plus they hold your luggage until you are ready to check in. Amazing!
