        This hotel felt more like an upmarket hostel to me. It’s very hard to understand the 4 star rating. My room was relatively clean in terms of the bed and bathrooms, but the other surfaces and walls were stained in a way that made it overall feel dirty. The hallway carpets and lifts were super unclean throughout my stay and the lobby smelled like a canteen. The rooms are small but that’s clear at the point of booking - it just seemed to me like it would be small but super clean and functional. You also have to go to the canteen to get water, there’s none in the room. This isn’t a huge deal but contributed to the overall budget, rather than luxury feeling. Pros are it’s very close to the train station, staff were helpful and friendly and it was quite sound proof from outside (3rd floor exterior room). I suppose it’s hi-tech in that you check yourself in and out, and the blinds are electronic, but that’s not really too unusual these days. You can only have either all the lights in the room on or all off, which was kind of strange, given there’s a bedside lamp. The WiFi was very slow when I used it and ended up using my phone’s network to stream instead. It’s nothing terrible but for me wasn’t worth the price and their branding as “affordable luxury” makes no sense as it isn’t luxurious at all (and doesn’t even feel like they’re trying to be).

        Had a good view from our room. Location is close to metro station. No major tourist attraction at walking distance though. The staff is nice but not all. The cleaning needs to be worked on. Bed and blanket have dust and hair on it. Same with corners of the room. Also the hallway carpets are disgusting. Wish the hotel was more clean so I could feel more comfortable during the stay, especially because of the bed bug infested image of Paris.

        Great location right next to the train station with the metro and RER. Mostly for business travellers that need to get in and out with little fuss. Rooms are small with just enough space for your basic needs and can be controlled through the app. Go to the top floor bar and watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night.

        Loved staying here for four days while visiting Paris. The bar scene inside of citizenM is amazing & the staff is super friendly and welcoming! The area is a bit sketch at night — and a bit during the day. Highly recommend but be aware of surroundings in this area! Also, not many good restaurants/cafes nearby.

        Clean, modern, love the ambience in the room, nice restaurant and bar. Good access to various buses and metro. Only thing that would make it better is a fitness room/pool/hot tub. Would stay again
