        First night, we had to endure having cigarette smells in our rooms. Both my sibling and I also had to endure having a big lizard in each of our rooms throughout our stay. The Maintenance and housekeeping could only scare the lizards into a hole firstly using a hanger but the pests returned. The housekeeping returned thr next day (after another request for help) with an almost empty pesticide to help keep the lizards at bay. I had to request for another pesticide and had to do so again as the request was not acceded. The room walls are very thin. You could hear the conversations of other occupants who are walking along the corridor. The amenities were decent but not of 4 star rating as presented in Google. The bedsheets and linens have some faint stains. The towels were off-coloured and rather worn. Thankfully, the staff attending to the lobby were helpful. The breakfast buffet was also decent. Suggestions - to change occupants' room if pest is found or make a thorough cleaning when that happens. And to be more prompt and proactive in attending to occupants' requests. Hope Citrus Hotel can improve.

        City Municipal must do something fast to get rid of Homeless, improve on cleanliness of this area. So much potential as tourist spot but need thorough effort by ALL enforcement. Pity for those who had invest their business in this area. Like Citrus hotel , Z hotel, City centre mall etc.

        Decent enough for not fussy travellers. Worth the price. City square mall, a 24hrs provision shop and coffee shops are just next to the hotel. 5 mins walk to CIQ. Good hospitality. Improvement on cleanliness could be better. Windows are dusty. Take note that there is no parking facilities around the hotel. For those who have high expectations this is not for u.

        Location wise is very near to customs so it's great. Decent rooms with quite a big bathroom. Bedsheets and pillows are slightly yellowish. Not for fussy travellers who are particular about cleanliness. Other than that, the affordable price makes it a decent place to stay since it's so near to customs.

        No hesitation in recommending this hotel if you want to stay in Johor Bharu. Close to City Square and JB Sentral. Very suitable if you want to stay overnight and travel to Singapore. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is buffet and delicious. Comfortable room. Our family can upgrade our room for free. Can check in at midnight because our plane landed in Senai close to midnight.
