1. The location and service are great. 2. But the rooms are not - water didnt go down in the shower, the water pressure was low, the cleaning lady didn't change our sheets (just straightened them) and there were ants in our room.

It’s hard to write a review for this hotel as their Wi-Fi never works. The staff is great and very friendly. All of them are genuinely kind and helpful. Two stars only for them. I am sorry for leaving this review but I have to protect future tourists. I stayed at 702 the mattress needs to be urgently changed as it’s very old and makes noise everytime you turn. The ac is also clearly from another century as it’s extremely noisy and inefficient. The room is completely white with no furniture like an asylum. There is wifi access only in certain parts of the room so basically I am writing this upside down in the bed cause if I sit properly there is no signal. The Wi-Fi extenders cost like 10 usd. Make the investment.. The even gave us small towels for the body instead of the regular ones. The elevator is worth visiting for as it’s clearly of historic value just don’t expect to arrive in your room anytime soon. Lastly the breakfast starts at 8 which is later than most city tours are scheduled to start so if you have a planned tour there will be no breakfast for you which I think it’s planned as it’s the first time I see a hotel breakfast start that late.

The staff is very nice. The building is old and the poor ventilation causes it to often smell of sewage, the road, or even one evening gasoline to the point we had to open the door just to breathe. The elevator sometimes breaks and can trap guests between floors until maintenance comes. There also seems to be constant construction going on somewhere in the building starting as early as 9a, so we weren't really able to sleep in very much. The shower is hot, the building is very clean, the internet works consistently, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a good budget option if you don't mind an old weird building.

Very nice stuff. I was given a sea view room in the 13th floor which gave me a full view towards the Copacabana. The mattresses are very comfortable and the room was clean. While breakfast the stuff was very nice and actually dancing. I had a great time there.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
