        I have never encountered such an incompetent front desk person. She seemed very confused, as if it were her first day on the job and would consider placing her away from the customers to spare them. Firstly, my room did not have a heater. Rather than fix the situation by moving me to a room with a heater, I was told that I couldn't be moved because no one would be able to clean the room. What kind of an excuse is that?! Don't fix the heater and move someone else into the room so they can be uncomfortable on a 49 degree San Diego evening? That only sounds fabulous if I am having hot flashes, which I am not. I will say that the room was clean when I entered and want to give the room cleaning staff a shout out since they are truly doing their job. And yes, this is a wonderful location for a hotel, being so close to the Air Station and all the biotech companies nearby. Here's a thought: how about fix the heater and you won't have to worry about moving someone into another room because heaters weren't fixed. When I pay for a room, I expect all features to be functional and am not really concerned about how you will clean the room when I depart from it. I really hope that management sees this and ensures that all elements in a room are working and teaches their front desk staff some customer service basics.

        STAY AWAY!!! If you want any kind of service from the front desk after checking in to a nasty room then stay away from this Hotel. After staying the first night, the next day, I noticed pee stain on my blanket that was about a foot in diameter. I only noticed after the cover had fallen off the blanket when I was sleeping. If that was not disturbing already, I took the blanket to the front desk only to be met with laughter from the girl and the man that were behind the counter. Not a word of apology, instead, the young Woman, still, with the grin on her face, tells me to take the blanket back to my room, and when she has a chance she calls someone to get me a new one, making a comment like ‘don’t worry it was at least washed’. When I protested taking the blanket back, she tells me that I can grab the blanket and follow her downstairs so that she can give me a new one. At that point I did not want to touch the blanket at all but I had no choice but to grab it and follow her. With roaches and bugs crawling all over the place, the rooms are nasty, and the service is very terrible. This hotel is more like a halfway home for people right out of prison, and funded with government assistance. STAY AWAY!

        stay at best western next door! this place is dirty, does not get cleaned, i got so sick here from covid and room was not cleaned even upon request. cleaning came by as early from 830am to 600pm at night! the girl with the nose piercing and the old lady with bad eyeliner (cleaning team) were so rude. the guy Raj at front desk was incompetent, worried about his phone and did not provide any service. I reached out to customer service and still 0 response. Mold, barf on bed, blood stains on sheets, and I got a huge rash on my abdomen from their towels. Rooms reek of vomit and are so musty. AVOID especially if you have booked through 3rd party because you will run away asap. (also staff rudely talks outside the doors loudly to eachother and you will not be able to sleep.)

        MOLD!!Unhealthy hotel to stay at. Checked into the Hotel Room and over the next couple of hours starting feeling stuffy. During the day at the business event, would feel progressively better. Back to hotel and trouble breathing within a couple hours every night. Though maybe it was just allergies. Then had the realization that maybe it was AC unit or filter. Opened it up and the filters were cleanish….but the bottom of the unit had a thick growth of mold of some kind. Disgusting and made numerous of us sick. DON’T STAY HERE! DANGER!

        Extremely unsatisfied with this hotel. The hotel bathroom had mold. Was informed by the front desk lady Ash, we would be refunded for the cancellation just to call the manager Roche the next morning. Once talking to Roche he denied the refund stating we should’ve noticed the mold the first day, when, in fact, the mold appeared after the first day once the family all showered.
