This review is from the perspective of a pair of North American travelers. We stayed at the Roppongi Comfort Inn for three nights in a queen studio room. The room is small, but as advertised. One thing that caught me off guard was the total lack of in room storage for clothing or luggage, no wardrobe. Only a small hanger rod near the front door with four hangers. Would not recommend it for people traveling with more than just carry-on luggage. The totally bizarre part is the bathroom. I'm pretty sure this building started life as an office building. The bathroom looks like it was added years later, as a prefab modular room. So the bathroom floor is about 8 inches higher, and the ceiling 6 inches lower than the bedroom it's in (see photo). So in the middle of the night you have to step up and down to enter and exit the bathroom in the dark. Also the light switches have been rewired in a way that you cannot have the bathroom light on if the bedroom lights are off, but you can have the room lights on and the bathroom off. So if you need to use the bathroom at any time, you're either in the dark or lighting up the bedroom. In addition the bathtub is not totally built in, as the bathroom appears to be a modular retrofit. So the tub sits up on blocks off the floor by about an inch (see photo). As a result the tub creaks & cracks as if it's about to fall through the floor. From the inside the bathroom basically looks like a large RV bathroom.

To start off positive: the location is great. The metro station and a Family Mart are less than 50 metres away, a 7/11 is very nearby as well and the metro lines will get you basically anywhere. The room was clean and kept clean well, it had some mold on the window sill, but that happens in humid environments, I suppose. New towels and toothbrushes (including toothpaste) were re-filled each morning and the garbage was taken out. Even though we did not need new toothbrushes and toothpaste everyday (we had our own, so we thought it was a bit wasteful), it does provide good service for lightly packed travellers. Then, to continue to the less positive parts: the room was really, really small. We knew it would not be big, we didn't expect that and didn't need a big room, but it is much smaller than the pictures and description suggest. The bathroom is half of the room, taking up more space than needed; the floor plan is super inefficient. Because of this, the room feels quite claustrophobic: we bumped our elbows and knees occasionally and did not even have enough room to put our suitcases in (which were a bit under 150 cm in total each; so not that big for people who are travelling for a longer period of time). We also were annoyed by the 'laundry room'. As mentioned in other reviews, the dryer basically did not dry and there was only one dryer and laundromat for the entire hotel. The instructions on the laundromat were also unclear to people who have not used that specific kind of laundromat before, which led to us basically wasting our money on it. When asking the staff what to do, they were not super helpful: they came along to the room with us, stood there for some time, went to catch someone else, who then told us that we should just wait 30 minutes until the washer was done and try again. So we waited 10 minutes without really any more info or help than what we figured out ourselves. The service was thus not very great, it was not bad either, but we were not very enthusiastic about it. Lastly, small but annoying: we could not open the window and the room was really humid and stale because of this. The room also smelled a bit weird. So, all in all: a great hotel for the location and if you spend not that much time in the room, but it does have quite some flaws.

While being the most expensive hotel on our 3 week trip (we stayed in 6), it is an expensive neighborhood. The hotel is an old building that's been given a facelift, and is now very nice but a bit dated. Our room was large by comparison and well appointed. Only one washer-dryer, for which we ended up queing. A real bonus is that there is a very nice supermarket around the corner and many restaurants, including the Thai restaurant that's part of the hotel. It's also close to the subway.

Pros: great location, lots of food and entertainment options close by and easy access to the subway. Showers are fantastic. Friendly staff. Cons: rooms are quite small, the "on site laundry" is one tiny stack washer/dryer combo that is ancient and your clothes are dry even after 2 cycles. So as long as you are ok with a small room and don't need laundry done it's great. So honestly 3.5 stars.

Great location - just few minutes walking distance from Roppongi station. In the middle of shopping, dining and night lift district. Check in was smooth and check out was automatic, Breakfast was charged at 1,100 JPY. Room was small size (very common size on Japan), it was clean and well arranged, bathroom was spacious and had a bath tub too. Amenities are available at lobby like night gown, extra amenities for ladies and men’s. I would recommend this hotel. The price was also good. I booked as package with flight and I felt great value for money.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
