        My recent stay at Comfort Suites off Beltway 8 & Beechnut was a mixed bag of experiences, with both positive aspects and significant disappointments. While there were numerous issues, it's important to acknowledge the positive elements as well. On the upside, the visibility of my car from the room's window provided a sense of security and convenience. It's always reassuring to be able to keep an eye on your vehicle, especially when staying in unfamiliar surroundings. The room was equipped with several useful amenities, including a safe for securing valuables, an iron and ironing board, which are essential for travelers needing to freshen up their attire. The spaciousness of the room was a plus, featuring a couch that converted into a bed, offering additional sleeping space which could be particularly beneficial for families or groups. However, these positives were overshadowed by several negative experiences. The front desk staff's insistence on a hefty $200 deposit was both unexpected and inconsistently applied. The safety concern with the television precariously hanging by a nail was alarming. Additionally, discovering a used condom wrapper and other trash under the TV stand was unsettling and raised serious questions about the thoroughness of the cleaning process. The attitude of the front desk staff was also a point of contention. Their excessive interest in the number of people in my party came across as intrusive. While it's understandable that hotels need to manage room occupancy for various reasons, the manner in which this was handled felt overly inquisitive and somewhat unwelcoming. In summary, while there were commendable aspects like room amenities and the spaciousness of the accommodation, my stay at Comfort Suites off Beltway 8 & Beechnut was marred by several significant issues. These ranged from safety hazards to cleanliness concerns, and an overall sense of unwelcoming service from the staff. Future guests should weigh these factors carefully when considering a stay at this location. During my check-in at Comfort Suites off Beltway 8 & Beechnut, I informed the front desk staff, specifically the individual who seemed to be in charge, that I would be checking out early. This was acknowledged without issue. However, upon my early check-out, I faced a frustrating and unacceptable situation regarding the return of my $200 cash deposit. The front desk staff member informed me that I would have to wait until the next morning to get my deposit back. This was not only inconvenient but also completely unexpected, as there was no mention of this condition when I checked in. The lack of communication and the apparent disregard for my schedule, especially since I needed to be in Austin, was highly unprofessional. This situation gave the impression that the staff member was exerting unnecessary control over my funds, which added a layer of dissatisfaction to my already troubled experience at the hotel. My experience at Comfort Suites off Beltway 8 & Beechnut was so disheartening that I only spent a total of 5 hours there and have firmly decided never to return. The entire stay left nothing to be desired. From the moment I checked in and encountered the issues with the deposit, to the concerning safety hazards in my room, every aspect of my brief visit was fraught with disappointment. The lack of professionalism and the sheer inconvenience of being told I couldn't retrieve my $200 cash deposit until the next morning, despite my early departure, was the final straw. This experience has firmly cemented my decision to avoid this hotel in the future.

        Found a live cockroach in my room!! I travel the world for business and have stayed at many hotels. You definitely get what you pay for. I booked for 3 nights. The room smelled. There was a live cockroach in the bathroom. The furniture is old. The couch was in rough shape. I showed photos and video to the front desk staff. They came in my room to confirm?? I was told to email the manager and never heard back. They could not refund me for the 2 remaining nights. There was no way I was going to stay 2 more nights in a dirty cockroach infested hotel room. Do yourself a favour, and never stay at the hotel. I’d rather sleep in my truck than this place.. worst experience ever

        I have stayed here prior to this visit and this was a great hotel, clean room, great breakfast. I completely bypassed the stafford location to come here because the ice machine is always broke down and the breakfast sucked. Now this room 308 is a mess, very dirty as you can see in the photos, the young Hispanic guy in the mornings promises that someone will take care of the issues just for that not to happen. And now this location no longer serves a full breakfast except on weekends, well the people that stay all week long and pay the same or pretty close to the same rates are out of luck.... as a diamond member I think it's time to go back to a different hotel chain....and no it doesn't matter if your diamond or not, you do not matter to these people.

        Check in was fine. We were told we could park at far end on the building and use our key to enter there before 10 p.m. It was when we got up to leave at 7:30 that we found the door locked and the woman at the desk refused to open it before 9 a.m. We were not the only guests to find this out the hard way. It required a simple courtesy, no more. This hotel lost me as a customer!

        I got there pretty late and the front desk attendant Rosa greeted me and was very nice and helpful! She got me checked in very quick. Then the following morning when I checked out, Sonny was very nice and prompt! He got the room inspected for my check out as I went and took my luggage to my car. All in all, it was a great experience.
