Wow!,, I new Matera would be special based on the pics and the clips from the last Bond movie, but this place was beyond exceptional. The service was amazing and heartfelt. The breakfast was 5 star, best part of my day. The view from our front door (unit #10) and the steps was beautiful and moving. My only worry is that too many will discover this ancient city and it will be flooded with tourists. We flew into to Bari and drove the 50 minutes into Matera. Lots of steps but all worth it. And please driver across the valley to view the city from the caves and hillsides. Great food, my particular favorite is a Puglia region staple, pureed broad beans with sauteed chicory. Highly recommend this place.

Such an exceptional experience it was staying at the hotel. The room was modern yet still allows you to experience the unique structure of the dwellings. It is also in a good location. Victor was very helpful from the moment we arrived and helped us get to know the sights and history of Sassi di Matera. The service was amazing and provides a very welcoming feeling. Our breakfast was splendidly nice as well. Thank you for the great stay :)

If you want to experience a true "Matera style Cave Hotel", choose this place. The room had the great historical, thematic design that lets you experience the vibe of the ancient city, while it also has all the great luxuries that's needed in a hotel. It's located in the historical town, very close to the main restaurant area. The service is also exceptional. When we arrived, our receptionist Victor gave us a really good guide explanation with a map of Matera, helping us prepare for our stay so we can make the most out of it. He also helped us reserve at a restaurant and offered to help us find tour guides for the city. The breakfast is also a strong point of the Hotel. Instead of the buffet, they treated us with multiple courses that tasted really good.

This fantastic hotel completed the experience of our two night stay in Matera. We were a family staying in three rooms, and we all loved it. It’s very special experience to stay in a cave. Very clean and every detail has been thought of. The breakfast is plentiful and with high quality. Victor at the reception is excellent and gave us many useful tips about the city and restaurants. He was very informative before our arrival as well. We give our very best recommendations.

A wonderful experience in the old cave dwellings in the heart of the Sassi in Matera. A great starting point for exploring the old Town, very quiet. The room is a cave that was dug out of the mountain ages ago. The restoration is classy and very beautiful. A romantic feeling with appropriate essential furniture and a partition of spaces that makes it very romantic. A travel in time.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
