We have been in Congress Plaza for 3 nights and we loved this hotel. The staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful. The security guards at the front door, the 2 men at the luggage room, the receptionists, the accommodation assistants and the manager had always a big smile on their faces and greeted us transmitting a lot of happiness. The building is wonderful, they kept the luxury with Crystal chandeliers, old stylish furniture and marbles everywhere. The rooms are spacious and our room had a wonderful view to the Lake Michigan (pictures attached). We asked to take a tour in the Gold Room. It’s like a party room of a Palace, it’s magnificent(picture attached). The doors of the elevators, which take us to the rooms, are pieces of art (picture attached). So, we really recommend Congress Plaza Hotel to everyone.

We loved our stay at this place. The hotel has so much history and classic beauty of its hay day. The staff were so helpful and kind. The rooms were a little outdated, but had been recently redone. The hotel definitely shows it's age, but I felt it was part of the charm. And with that location, well, you can't beat it. We will definitely be returning.

As this hotel was based downtown I thought it was going to be a modern sleek place to stay, unfortunately I felt that wasn’t the case. There was no WiFi in the room or at least it wasn’t free, which I feel should be as standard. The safe was locked and had to wait close to an hour for someone to come and fix it…they didn’t come. The hotel looks fantastic on the outside and is in a great part of the city as you’re literally downtown but I wouldn’t stay here again. Must credit the door staff who were super friendly and helpful.

The Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago is a historic hotel that has been in operation since 1893. It is located in the heart of downtown Chicago, just steps away from Millennium Park, Grant Park, and Lake Michigan. The hotel is known for its elegant architecture, spacious rooms, and central location. I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Congress Plaza Hotel, and I was very impressed. My room was clean and comfortable, with a large bed, a flat-screen TV, and a coffee maker. I also enjoyed the view of the city from my window. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. They were always happy to answer my questions and provide assistance. I especially appreciated the concierge, who helped me plan my itinerary for my stay in Chicago. I also had the opportunity to dine at the hotel's restaurant, the Walnut Room. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend the steak and lobster dinner. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at the Congress Plaza Hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and elegant place to stay in Chicago.

The rooms and the bathrooms are fine. Newly updated and refreshed. The location is great. The bones of the hotel are good, old, but good. A word about this hotel, it is OLD. It has a certain charm about its age that isn't all good or all bad, but you can tell - this hotel is - OLD, VERY OLD.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
